I'm using R|Trader for a two months on zen-fire feed, and did not mention any significant freezes. No charts==nothing to freeze up Moreover, you can customize DOM refresh time to adjust CPU load. So I left all charting at NT and moved order entries to R|trader from NT because of NT freezing and serverside OCO features of R|Trader. There are simple brackets with multiple stops and multiple targets in R|Trader, and they are serverside, supported by Rithmic system. No trailing stops, no chasing and any other advanced ATM features as in NT. But R|Trader supports limit-if-touched and market-if-touched orders, which is quite useful sometimes. As to $60/month for NT, afaik now they are offering free type of license for NT allowing live trading without ATM, so you can switch to it.
Mirus, and yes, I have both NT and R|trader fed from one zen-fire account, so when I place order in one platform I'm able to see and manage it in other. You should contact your broker to enable this.
