Ice exchange as of December 5th will be cutting the value of a TF contract in half, so tick value will be $5 instead of the current $10 per tick. They are cutting exchange fees in half as well. The make an interesting point, the index futures have gone up considerably in the last 5-6 years, since the market bottom in 2009 for example an ES contract has gone from 35k notional approx to 110k notional, approx., so you are trading 3x the size per contract, essentially.

I wonder if CME will follow suit? I personally wouldn't mind a 1/2 Size ES and NQ, easier to scale in and out, though more comms for the brokers of course

It moves as much or more % wise most days as ES does, so the real issue it notional value not tick value
