-------- Total Profit : 190$
Today I didn't have any luck with CL. There was one chance though. Around 1.45 nice resistance line at 74.15. Entered long at 74.16. But CL was too fast so my order didn't get filled. I had a stop limit order. So I canceled it immediately after it passed 74.20.
I did another SIM trade on CL on outside bar of 11.30am using 15 min chart. But, it went into negative territory for 30 minutes and then I exited at 1 tick.
So I decided to try TF today. I was using my setup with TF from last couple of days on SIM. And it seems to be working well. I was not logging TF trades here, but since now I am using TF for live trades, I should log them as well.
First Trade : 20$ (TF, my setup)
Nice resistance line at 660.8. Entered long stop limit order at 661. TF took that order went 5 ticks and came back. It took some more time so I decided to exit at be+1. If I waited for some more time, it was a winner.
Second Trade : 170$ (TF, my setup)
663.1 was high of the day at 2.30pm, TF touched that price again and wend down. I drew resistance line at 663.1 and entered long stop limit order at 663.2. First target of 7 ticks easy. Second target of 10 ticks took some time but achieved.
That was first decent profit after I started my live trading. After that there were couple of more chances to enter trades, but I let them go to be safe.
No trades today. CL and TF both were too sloppy before FOMC announcement at 2.00pm. Then they did few crazy moves after 2pm. Not ideal for normal trading.
I like the way your charts are laid out. I was wondering if you could post you indicators or possibly your templates. If you already posted them on this site, would you be so kind and direct me to them.
First Trade : 20$ (TF, my setup)
Nice support line at 658.7. TF touched it almost 3 times. So I entered short at 658.6. It went 4 ticks and paused for a while, so I moved mt stops to BE+1. Result? exited at breakeven. I wish I stayed longer, it was a winner.
Second Trade : -200$ (CL, my setup)
Nice support line at 74.12. CL touched this price twice. Entered short at 74.10. CL took my order and went up to hit my stops of 10 ticks. I wish I entered at 74.09, it was a winner.
I have posted all my indicators and templates in first post, but I have changed it a lot in last 2 months. So I am posting my template again with indicators that I am using. See attached.
The reason I mention it is that I believe your method is prone to false break outs........you need to avoid these. The Joe Ross early entry method will get you on the side of the market manipulators........NOT the manipulated.
Thanks Jeff. Yes I do feel that my method fails many times on false breakouts. Right now I am unable to predict false breakouts. But I would consider your suggestion seriously to improve my method.
