There are brokers who allow for trading futures and options expiring in the far future only on request. In the standard configuration of the software, these futures / options cannot be traded. Thus, it might make sense to ask.
Yes, IB TWS deltas seem to be incorrect, at least once in a while. In my opinion, there are better sources. But as I do most of my option selling on the DeCarley platform, this is not a serious problem for me. (I mainly use TWS for my stocks account.)
this may be wishful thinking but is there a scanner out there that can scan the entire universe of commodity (& index) options based on
1. delta
2. mROI
3. DTE
Offcourse margin will depend on broker and that data needs come from the broker. It maybe be useful If we narrow down the candidates and then apply fundamental analysis on result set.
On May 18, sold EWQ8 2090P(-2) 1780P(+3) for 4.2 at 106 DTE. On June 6, closed the positions at 2.1. 18 days held. mROI: 2.6% using 6xIM.
