Hello,

I have a question regarding futures options (softs- ICE-exchange) in the IB TWS (paper trading mode):

A month ago I had long put options in Cocoa, they were well in the money at expiration, but in the TWS (paper-trading) they expired worthless with no automatic exercise into the futures contract (manual exercise does not work as well). A loss was recorded.

Same thing few weeks later with long ITM calls on Sugar No.11 and Cotton: no exercise of long ITM options at expiration, long ITM-options expired worthless.

Other exchanges (as CME) work well, the problem remains with the ICE-exchange.

Am I missing the point or does it look like a bug in the software?

I contacted the support, no response after a month.

Best regards
Gonzo

I do not use the paper trading mode, but it was reported several times in various forums that the paper trading mode does not work properly in various regards.

Options for Softs should be exercised as shown here: https://www.theice.com/products/14/Coffee-C-Options

Best regards, Myrrdin
