Has anyone compared MW to EdgeproX? I heard EdgeProX is just white box MW... anyfeedback? I'm wondering if I should pay for the updates this year... MW usually has a BlackFriday sale
Hi, i´m using the MW Orderflow edition and considering upgrade to the pro edition because of MM´s black friday offer (30% discount)
BUT does pro edition really offer such a huge benefit for this extra price? I mean mostly i´m trading stocks and futures.
Never used harmonic patterns. The only advantage i see is that you can attach multiple layouts for each symbol (called desktops). In orderflow edition you can only
detach one chart for the symbol not layouts which contains 4 windows for separate time frames.
I read on their homepage that pro edition offer a so called "power trading pack" for configure the trade panel and using hot keys. Don´t know if this would be
an advantage. Would appreciate pro users to tell which features they use or like particulary.
Thanks
PS: What i dont like is MW´s support policy. For one year of support/updates you have to pay $250 for pro. For orderflow it´s $ 105 what is acceptable.
EPX is MotiveWave Orderflow edition, to the best of my knowledge. I believe that EPX is only for EdgeClear customers, which means Futures only. I had EPX then bought MW during the X-mas sale. MW connects to many brokers. EPX is $35/mth vs MW at $50 but with the X-mas sale I bought a license.
I am new to MW but like it a lot. It seems to reload data often with the volume profile but that may be something that I am doing or not doing.
I found MW support to be responsive. They do not respond fast but responses are effective, in my limited experience.
So with the new release of MW 6.6, they've added in a native M1 version for Mac. I've had a play around with it yesterday and it performs much better when compared to previous versions with Rosetta.
Things are just smoother and there's less lag when using multiple studies.
If I'm not mistaken, that means MW is currently the only platform with a native M1 version.
Still wish they would have more frequent updates though.
I'm hoping it gains traction here, I see there were a couple indicators. Being based on Java, it'll likely have a lot of available functionality that can be developed. Its also priced reasonably amongst other platforms.
