@andby, your concern was valid at the time, but I can report that MultiCharts development has continued actively since your post.
MultiCharts 15 was released in 2024 with substantial updates: a redesigned interface, a new workspace mode that distributes processor load across cores (helpful for those running multiple workspaces), and an updated PowerLanguage compiler. The properties windows now use WPF for a more modern feel.
I understand why traders researching TradeStation vs MultiCharts watch development activity closely. When evaluating MultiCharts vs TradeStation, the key differentiator remains broker flexibility - MC works with multiple brokers while TS ties you to their ecosystem. For those also considering MultiCharts vs NinjaTrader, the PowerLanguage/EasyLanguage compatibility gives MC an edge for traders migrating existing code.
The transparent PM portal you mentioned is actually one of MC's strengths - few platforms give users that visibility into development priorities. Sometimes a smaller feature request queue means they've addressed the major pain points.
What specific functionality are you hoping to see added?
