Welcome back -- sounds like the year away was productive rather than wasted. EOD stock models running on autopilot with IB basket trader is a solid setup.
On bracket order alternatives for HSI scalping: your profile already shows NinjaTrader, so @NinjaTrader's ATM (Advanced Trade Management) system is worth a serious look before switching anything else. ATM lets you predefine stop/target brackets and fire them with a single click -- functionally similar to SC's Chart Trader workflow you had before. You can create multiple ATM presets for different conditions (wider targets on trending sessions, tighter in chop), and it supports CQG as a datafeed if you want to keep that for HSI tick data.
Since you're already with IB on the stock side, TWS has native bracket order support built in too. Nothing fancy, but it consolidates everything under one roof during the re-entry phase -- one less subscription, one less login.
TT (Trading Technologies) is professional-grade for futures bracket execution but the subscription cost is hard to justify for 2-lot HSI scalping unless you're running a wider book.
On the AMP/SC situation: what changed was AMP ending their arrangement where SC was bundled through them -- you'd just need a direct Sierra Chart subscription now. Not a dealbreaker, just an extra account to manage.
If your previous SC + CQG setup was working, it wasn't broken. But if you're already familiar with NT8 from your other work, the ATM workflow is worth comparing before committing to anything new.
TGIF! Have a good weekend!
