thanks for the warm welcome and first hints. This is exactly what I'm trying to do but atm I`m stuck bringing last things together in a simple routine O.o
Hi traders! An old member returning to familiar ground. I’m saddened to learn of Big Mike’s passing. My thoughts are with his loved ones, and thank you to everyone carrying the torch and keeping this community alive. This is my third return to the trading cockpit. Market Profile is still in my toolkit. This time, I’m also bringing a few homemade AI specialized agents along for the ride. A new way of approaching the market is taking shape for me… We'll see.
Good to be back.

Hi everyone, I’m Marwan from Detroit Michigan vvvrrrooom. I trade MNQ and NAS100 futures, and I’m working on prop firm evaluations. I use TradingView alerts with Tradovate-based prop firms. I’m here to learn how other traders handle prop firm rules, like daily loss limits, while running alerts. Glad to be here
Hello everyone! I just recently got into trading after my buddy convinced me to try it out. I'm lucky enough that i started off by reading Mind Over Markets by Jim Dalton. That book completely changed my view on trading. For the past 4 months, I have been spending on average about 8-10 hours a day learning everything there is to know about the market. I started off paper trading then as of two weeks ago I funded my ThinkOrSwim account to start trading options. I have been relatively successful but I still have a lot to learn. My current goal is to be able to qualify my account for futures. Over the past 2 months, I built my own backtester and have been backtesting many strategies. My end goal is to transition to algorithmic trading and have been testing one of my own python bots. I just feed it data and it spits out bracket orders for my ThinkOrSwim account. I am open to any input and information. Thank you in advance!
Hello all, after blowing my account a few times (without using a stop loss), I asked an AI tool for help, and it pointed me to this community. Hopefully, I will make some money with your help!
Recognizing the need for strict risk management after taking some drawdowns is a solid first step toward capital preservation.
I recommend checking out the article "Stop Loss Strategies for Futures Trading". Make sure to also review the "Citations" section at the end. They are linked directly to several forum threads where traders discuss and break down these exact SL concepts in live market conditions.
Hi all. Pediatric surgeon from Bethlehem, trading ES for about three years, mostly on funded prop accounts. Most of what I do is build ideas and then try to kill them with tick data before they cost me real money. I write the results up in my journal in the Trading Journals section (Three years of killing my own ES ideas), the failures included.
If anyone has a concept they'd like tested, post it the way you actually trade it, entry, stop and target, and I'll run it and share whatever comes out.
