There are a couple of threads on the Ninja forum asking for some simple improvements to the Market Profile indicators. A thread with vote SFT-4521 concerning TPO improvements that was started some 20 months ago still goes unimplemented.
These were the requests from the thread starter.
"1. The ability to split the TPO periods into individual columns for each letter/period; then, merge them back into the full daily profile. (Basically, expand the TPO periods into individual columns and merge them back to the normal profile).
2. The Ability to merge days into custom composites more easily (similar to the volume profile drawing tool). [Maybe just selecting two or more profiles and having a merge button rather than doing it in the “properties” menu, or creating a “merge with next/previous profile” button].
3. Letting the user define the Times and allowing for the user to select the letter associated with that time.
4. Creating a specific color option (or even little triangles) for the open and close (Not wasting or creating the letters "o" and "c" for these, especially because sometimes the opening letter "o" stacks with the opening time period)
5. The ability to split a day during a specific period and have it stand alone as its own Profile. For example, splitting a day into A-G periods and E-P periods and letting those both stand alone."
Of interest to me was request 2 and 4. This would allow NT users to guage where the "Other Time Frame" buyers and sellers are positioning.
I understand that there must be 100's if not 1000's of requests for NT improvements, but MP is a priority tool IMHO. It is frustrating as a licensed user to see replies 20 months later "no ETA, no guarantee of implementation."
This thread is an excellent idea....
1) I would like to be able to have my ATM trail stop tied to the Slope of an indicator (EMA, SMA, HMA or other)
2) I would like the indicators in Configured section of my chart indicators selectable to be alphabetical by panel or ordered by myself as is today. Maybe color coding names by panel would be ok.

Thanks for reply...you can attach to an indicator which was a great enhancement. I am asking to be able to make the decision based on the Slope (Rising or Falling) of said indicator. So if PA running south, then look for a change in slope of the indicator from south bound to north bound. That is quite different.
You can program the indicator to calculate what you want and set a value to change the stop.

It seems as the retail landscape evolves and traders become more savvy, that it would be a no-brainer to explore order entery options.
Other platforms are already working on these (I received confirmation yesterday), shouldn't Ninja be as well?
How about end of day version of the market analyzer that doesn't require a real time data feed or end of day scanner like Metastock's Explorer which is used primarily for swing trading?
A small proportion of the rare times that Ninjatrader crashes, even after restoring my workspace, I have to rebuild my automated strategies list. Strategy configurations are supposedly stored in the database file, but even when the database is fine, I can't restore my strategies.
I can export the list, with settings, etc. (and I do) so it's not horrible, but I am running over 2 dozen, most of the time, so rebuilding it still a PITA.
I'd like an IMPORT option in the Strategies tab, similar to the Export option, so I could simply import one of my exported lists and Ninjatrader would automatically rebuild the configuration in the Strategies tab.
