Thanks are a major element on fio - so some more contrast to this will help.

I think the thanks colors are a matter of individual preference.
Personally I prefer the new look - you can still see it when you look for it but it's more unobtrusive.

it is looking good, its a good step forward in looking more modern.
one thing though, which isnt directly related to the new design,these pink advertising for NT all over - I know i can enable my adblocker as an elite member, but in general the ads are non-intrusive - so I have adblocker disabled for the domain, but these pink NT ad's is distracting, so to fit with the new design you should consider have more discrete ads and not alow very intrusive ads like the pink NT ad.
You can give feedback to , but I think those particular ads are set to end in a couple days anyway, due to a special year end promo

I made a small change to make it stand out a bit more like it used to -- will try it on for a bit to see how it feels.
