As an addendum FIO has been very lumpy yesterday and today, lots of stalls reported in both browser status bars, no trouble with other sites, several machines show the same, two different sites.
Thanks guys. I'm having a small surgical procedure this morning for pain relief from my last (failed) back surgery, then returning home. I'll try modifying some server side scripts to resolve this problem this weekend.
Best Wishes, health first always. Although I had assumed you had already been working on them as it doesn't work at all now.
Lol, saying that has fixed it.
No, of course it hasn't, that's the definition of intermittent...
fwiw The 'stalls' and spinning wheels usually seem to be from facebook and cdn.pushengage.net, but I guess you've already got a fair idea of what's going on.
Today around 1am server time, FIO went down for 4 hours.
The server had not been restarted in over two years, it seems like some sort of resource issue. I am checking everything now, but it is 4am and I should be sleeping.... I will be doing more checks later today at a normal time, which may result in a bit more downtime to be safe and thoroughly check everything.
To be extra safe, we will be replacing two drives today. If everything goes smoothly, there will be no downtime. If everything does not go smoothly, well, expect a little downtime
