I'm using NT7. Using the Price Action Swing Pro indicator allows to select under "Features" 21.Naked Swing Lines to True or False. When True it plots a "Ray Line" at the HH,HL,LL & LH based on the swing paramaters.
The "ray line" is removed or cancelled once price penetrates it.
The mod that I would like is to:
1. only plot the "ray line" on HL and LH
2. once price penetrates rather than cancel leave the line active for a further user defined number of bars, such as 20 bars then cancel
3. Create a Sound Alert once price penetrates
That's it, I'm looking at price retesting HL's and LH's.
Also currently under Swing Values, if you select Labels as True it plots the HH, HL, LL, LH on every new condition. Can this be changed to only plot Labels as per the setting or logic on Naked Swing Line, which only plots once the condition is TRUE. Not sure if that makes sense.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I read the snippet of code provided by the author and I set Swing Trend to==1 and I keep getting an error message. I did observe that in the original code, the spelling is swingTrend.
Just noted that the PriceActionSwingBase is not in the package ... is this the structure of the new indicator ? Also, using the PriceActionSwingPro, the swing values (i.e. labels, length, duration, price, etc) and the divergence lines do not display/plot when the divergence is set to Stochastic, GomCD, or MACD. Could this be attributed to the absence of PriceActionSwingBase in my installation of the indicator ?
I am on NT8 and if it is the same in NT7 you may try playing with naked swing values and "tick reply" option from data series. For me if i remove tick reply it will plot all naked swings and keep them forever (i guess). If it is on only the active naked swings are plotted.
Hello, is possible to add alert for HH and LL? and how i can hear the other alerts in the moment that they appear? I mean, in the moment when the "LowerHIgh" appear i want the sound, i dont want to wait for the other label to hear the "LowerHigh" Thank you!
I asked Dorschden if he could help me on my problem below but maybe some of you folks already know the solution. I generally use NT7 Strategy Wizard first for any new indicators that I want to code in my strategies to obtain the correct initial coding methods.
For some reason, using Strategy Wizard, I keep getting the following error:
'NinjaTrader.Strategy.Strategy.PriceActionSwing(int, double, PriceActionSwing.Base.SwingStyle, bool)' is a 'method', which is not valid in the given context
Trading: 6C (Low Margin,) 6E, CL, GC, ES and Maybe DX for smaller tick value

, I have tried to figure this out MANY times. Others have tried to help but do not have the correction for the PAS to handle this error.
BUT I did post a sample of Strategy Wizard asking for help. A member did not fix the Strategy Wizard issue but did correct the sample strategy to work. Since I am not a coder, I am not completely clear what was done to correct it. The main thing I see is that he used this declaration:
using PriceActionSwingPro.Utility;
Then changed references for PriceActionSwingPro.Utility.SwingTypes.Standard by removing "PriceActionSwingPro.Utility."
Since it appears your main stumbling point is getting this into a coded strategy perhaps it will be more help to you than it was for me.
Trying to use PriceActionSwingPro in a strategy (generated by Wizard) but the strategy will not compile due to what appears to be a naming convention in PASwingPro. Can someone review this strategy to see the error? Then look at PAS to see how it could …
Here is the corrected code but it has the same name so plan on that when trying to download both. I used word compare to see where the changes were. AND there were many mainly due to a huge deletion of the region below:
#region Wizard settings, neither change nor remove
