One of them is brand new and polished (last decade but looks like new) and the other one is a vintage car from the last millenium, but already equiped with all safety features like air bags and ABS. Otherwise I would not let my family drive them.
No bugs or beatles or that stuff. No Diesel. Diesel is a good choice, if you live on the country side. Not so good for driving through the inner cities.
I also use DriveNow, which is a car sharing service and convenient, if you need a car ASAP.
Upon different sources - EPA in USA has found Diesel models of VW, Audi and Porsche 3l motors
with fraudulent software that manipulate emissions under test mode.
Affected found models are
- VW Touareg (2014)
- Porsche Cayenne (2015)
- Audi A6 Quattro, A7 Quattro, A8, A8L, and Q5 (2016)
VW has denied to have such software in 3l motors.
Porsche has told to check upon those news
and Audi did not respond
EPA says around 10000 models with 3l diesel engines in USA are affected
that were sold between since 2014.
but also CO2 data not correct - admitted VW this afternoon.
Some 800 thousand further cars from the company had been sold with wrong declaration
of CO2.
The scandal affects not only the VW diesel motor - but all motors VW built. Now even NEW
models are not conform...
The company's stock (listed in the Dax 30) tumbled today 4,3%.
While VW sees no big deal with the CO2 problem of the 3l diesel motor (years 2014 to 2016)
to be found in VW, Audi and Porsche cars, Porsche stopped immediately selling their model Cayenne
in USA...
