OK so I just looked again, as this is a major thing to me (seeing someone elses username as logged in).
I couldn't find any evidence of any issue with the caching. I ran a bunch of tests across the 100k+ cached pages in memory, and none of them showed any logged in user. I checked against multiple methods to verify this, examining HTML for hints the user is logged in (using grep -lr) such as cookies, user id's, and other HTML markup that happens only when logged in.
So, if this happens again please take a
screenshot that includes the exact URL you are on and the username you see, so I can find the exact occurrence of this.
Mike
no problem Mike I can do that. I didn't even think to take a screenshot when it happened, sorry.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?

Don't be sorry -- thanks for reporting it. This kind of thing drives me nuts though until I fix it, so if it is still happening I really want to know.

In terms of troubleshooting, you should probably also ask Devil Man how many glasses of Jim Beam he had before this started to happen.

Hi Bob,
it appears to be working fine on my end, clicking the link takes me to the thread.

You're right of course, there is no way to solve this until we know if it's a general Gmail issue or not.
Since I am going nuts from this, I'm just going to ask members who have mentioned Gmail in the past on this thread if they are having any issues in opening their
FIO email notifications.
I found these members in a Search of this thread for mentions of "gmail." I hope no one feels I'm spamming them, and if so I apologize, but if you see this and are still using Gmail, can you confirm that you can click on the "View Newest Post" button and go to the post on FIO, or if you are having a problem with it. At least one other Gmail user saying Yes or No will be a help.
Also, apologies if you're no longer using Gmail
.

I have the same problem : not being able to click on an email received from futures.io to jump into the site
it seems it tries (small flash), but no window opens. This is since a few weeks, worked before
I am using yahoo as mail, in a browser (WaterFox).
This would result in much less hits on the website, because it's harder for people (need to go to the
website and manually search the thread)
haven't investigated deeply yet...
But as some other people seem to have something in the same direction, i just report it her also

I have additional information :
1. when in yahoo mail and incoming mail from futures.io, when the mail is in preview (mail bellow the list of mails)
and i click on it, a new tab opens and immediately closes (futures.io probably closing it for some reason)
2. when in yahoo mail and incoming mail and i double click on the mail to open it in full view (no more list of mails)
and then i click on the link, a new tab opens and the content of the link in futures.io is shown as previously
question: where does that come from, tried with F12 (debug browser side), but have been able to figure it out in detail yet

Question: do links from other sites work as expected for you?
I only have the issue with FIO .
