I've been trying to learn how to trade for some time now. I started with options a number of years ago, and only had mixed results at best. I'm now interested in learning futures, particularly the eminis; CL, NQ, YM, 6E etc.
I am from Flanders, New Jersey, and am looking forward to getting a lot out of the information and interaction with everybody on this site.
Thanks, Big Mike

Hello, everyone and thanks, Big Mike, for this forum.
Have been trading the e-Mini futures (ES, YM and NQ) on and off for about 10 years, content to make at least 1% a day 3 days of the week on average and not much draw-down on the off days. I love the index futures because they always give you an exit.. without a stop loss
Now bored with my job and going into trading full time hopefully.
I use Murrey Math and personally believe Murrey is a genius.
I've reached as far as figuring out price levels with Murrey Math, and would love to collaborate with someone who's managed to crack the time lines (vertical lines) to get the timing right.
You never know til you try. I remember quitting a solid govt job and moving to a new town to try my hand as a stockbroker. It didn't work out but I haven't regretted it. I grew quite a lot in the process. Later I moved back to a salaried job. That ended with a corporate take-over by a foreign company.
Now I am working incredibly long hours working to make the move to day-trading futures. It's much tougher than I imagined and I have very little capital -however I am still confident I will make the break to profitability greater than my monthly expenses - very soon.
Life is for the trying and the doing.
The safe fall asleep long before they "die".
I believe in getting outside your comfort zone and "try".
Take a risk, commit to life and life will "commit" to you.
In your darkest days remember that God is routing for you - even if it seems no one else is!!
You're never alone.
Wishing you the best of success and the rewards due to the brave!
Was introduced to this forum by Matt from Optimus Futures, looks very interesting and informative.
I'm a full time futures trader and systems programmer, using TS and MC. Have been fulltime for a little over 3 years now doing this from San Diego (40% of the time) and Auckland New Zealand.
I am pretty new to trading / technical analysis, just recently reading through some books and scouring the internet for knowledge, and looking to do some active trading at some point. Hopefully I can learn a few things by being a part of this community.
I have a programming background which seems to be a good fit with the technical analysis side of things and I have spent some time with NinjaTrader (programmed some really basic indicators for learning).
Thank you very much, Big Mike, for building a great community and a treasure trove of information and insights for anyone looking to become a better trader. I am, I suppose, a beginner who's paid plenty of tuition to the market to qualify as a survivor of the stupid years. Looking forward to graduate high school of trading.
