The problem is the out-of-date editor vBulletin 3.8 uses. It's all fixed in the new framework site, which is still an on-going project. If there was an easy fix I would implement it, but it's more or less an absolute impossibility to improve the current site to allow better uploads/drag-n-drop or paste etc.
One question, are you uploading market replay data only? I was hoping someone would keep the raw tick data thread alive, it's been going for so many years.
I keep getting requests for people to share their GomRecorder data. A few threads have been started on the subject but not many are following thru it would seem.
I am collecting data from IQFeed via QCollector. All data contains bid/ask and is tick …
The experience points formula was re-worked. "Miscellaneous" is almost exclusively related to file attachments and Downloads section, so has contributed a lot of very popular indicators and therefore scores a tremendous amount of experience points because of it.
There is a time decay factor in the ranking. Every day a user is inactive, their ranking diminishes quite a bit.
I've never used the gomi recorder stuff, so I'm not familiar with how it works.
But if the tick data in there is the same "historical tick data" that NT8 has, then you can derive tick data from Market Replay data, so you don't need the former as an extra data source.
Having not used NT for a while, I am not sure. I think it doesn't include the inside bid/ask that the QCollector tools do with IQFeed source, but not sure.
Is there a Market Replay to CSV converter? I thought the file format was proprietary.
You can use a relatively simple script to export the data in text format. I have tried it to export historical minute data and it works. Modifying that so that instead of historical data it writes tick data should be a small leap.
Given Market Replay contains bid/ask data I think that too can be exported in a similar fashion.
Then lets hope someone in that thread will close the gap and continuing posting the tick data. Can someone reading this thread help out and see/ask around? So that the data is posting doesn't go wasted for tick data use.
There is currently a problem with caching site-wide (only effects guest users, not logged in users). Investigating. It just means slower site, no content problems. But needs to be fixed....
OK, already found & fixed the problem. One too many | pipe characters in a long if statement, I last made that change yesterday. Glad I saw and solved it today so it didn't last longer. We get crawled more than 50k pages per day so performance and caching are an important part of that.
