Nothing wrong with that spec. Have you tried checking your indicators and ensuring the section setup is set to calculate on bar close or price change under each indicator? That's usually the issue.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
You need to delete Cache at least once a week an make sure you don’t have any programs running other than NT. I run a quick security scan before I load NT every day. Make sure you close charts you are not actually using
I agree with Phantomtrader about having a dedicated computer. I would NEVER use a browser on my trading computer, never check emails, etc. ONLY FOR TRADING.
Your CPU (i7 4th generation) is EIGHT YEARS OLD. Eight years, just sayin....
When I started trading two years ago, I had an 8 year old CPU with 16 gb RAM. I thought it was decent enough, should be OK, but then noticed lag. I was advised by a very experienced trader to get an upgraded computer. Got an i7 10th generation 10700K. 64gb RAM, Nvidia GPU with 4gb. Samsung SSD M.2 directly on motherboard. No problems since the upgrade. And my internet is not great.
I also had a similar problem 3 weeks ago. Older computer. NT8 was running fine, then started to lag and freeze. After many re-installs on the old and a new computer. Safe mode tests, etc. - Still had the issue. I ended up re-installing the previous version of NT8 and all is good again. Never really found the actual issue. If all else fails maybe revert back one version. Good Luck
Go to Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db and Find the file NinjaTrader.sdf. Rename the file to
NinjaTrader.old.sdf then restart NT8. A new file will be produced automatically.
The .sdf file can get crammed with stuff and corrupted which causes all sorts of trouble.
If that does not work, contact Ninja platform support.
