No. I failed.
I didn't measure my risk of ruin appropriately(in retrospect and imo) for the FTP, though I believe I did for the Combine.
After some deliberation I will retry.
Don't let it get you down too much. It sounds like you already know what you would do differently next time. We have a saying in South Africa : "Give it stick!" meaning show it who is boss. Give it stick @KahunaDog!
Still plugging away working on it.
This looks interesting and if you buy 5 cpu licenses it's $225 or 1 @ $150. If anyone else is interested lmk, I am looking to buy this in the near future. It seems perfect for my needs and a great addition to money management. The risk/reward tool in nt8 is good, but this is great what I have been looking for, multiple targets, visual on p/L, ability to adjust size to % risk, etc.
Mod remove if necessary
I'm going to try another Tst in April. I passed the 50k combine in October but bad money management, strategy and bad entries built up.
I might use ZN initially as the tick dollar amount is smaller. Zn, es and zb will likely be the main products with 6e and gc may show if my set up is right in them.
Looking to do Earn2trades mini gauntlet...$25 mini gauntlet special is a great deal.
I Will be trading 2to3x week, pre NewYork up to NY lunch. 7est to 12est
I Will be using a mix of market profile, volume profile. I also like Raghees grab type indicators.
I will trade es, cL, gc. 6e, 6b. Primarily es and cL
I will be using nt8, tradingview, motivewave
If I hit a positive trade I will consider ending my trading day after 1 trade.
In jan this year I passed step1 tst but trading is quite time consuming and I quit my tst due to some SERIOUS family issues. I'm looking to balance my home life, professional life and personal life.
A big issue for me is I found I have sleep apnea. I am not getting sufficient sleep. I have been living on 3to5hrs of total sleep on top of sleep apnea, professional work, being a dad and trading. I'm supposed to get a cpap this month. According to the statistics 1:20 people have sleep apnea. I'm not overweight, I work out 3to5x a week. I have been on a keto diet from June, gave up 12lbs of muscle/glycogen.
I plan to use a max of 2lots with a greater than 1:1 risk to reward.
This week mon-fri I'm taking an options course to potentially use my trading skills in that to lessen my active trading. I've simplified my method and will limit my tape reading for now.
I also suffer from sleep apnea.
I started using a cpap machine 6 years ago and found it changed my ability to live my life.
For 15+ years preceding my diagnosis I was a single father with three children at home working a full time job that involved a lot of travel to and from meetings.
I used to fall in bed at night and fall asleep almost instantly for 7 to 8 hours, only to awaken in the morning feeling as tired as I did when I went to bed the night before. I was always tired.
My suggestion to you is to get on with your sleep apnea treatment and get using a cpap machine as your first priority.
You should start to feel the benefits immediately (within one or two nights) of having enough oxygen in your blood to allow your brain to rest and regenerate overnight instead of constantly waking itself to force your body to breathe.
The changes to your cognitive abilities should soon become apparent to you after a few good nights of actual rest.
Once you get that far I would suggest you then focus on what you said in your post (in bold above), the mini Gauntlet should be something you consider when you finally find the balance you're looking for.
Be well,

Got 3 trades off.
ES +33, +33, +39, +39, +5, +5
One premarket looking for the GAP close based on USD strength, CL weekend move.
Third trade I was looking for ES-12 3002 fill, but had to take 3000.50, it touched but no fills so had to move fast to get out.
Not doing any combines yet. Likely start within the next 10 days. I'm still fine tuning a few parameters.
I have begun studying options and have found it quite interesting. I like several things about them, but have a lot to learn.
Definetly will be using them for my intermediate portfolio.
So much news this week.
Traded CL today, I did ok for a tuesday. Not the greatest, but consistency is more important.
CL likes to run stops imo. It's a looser animal than ZB.
+42, +49, 0, -2, -5 Net +84
I considered going for a another try at a pullback entry long, but meh. Made some and decided to walk. Momentum of the entire market was slowing and it's like squeezing the last of the lemon juice out of the lemon.
Here's my first ever options trades.
Mostly STRADDLES as that's what we were learning in the class.
Funny my personal picks were up or flat(30yr, gold, eurusd) but the single one chosen in class BA(boeing) is down. So much to learn. I really like it and think it could add some tools to the box. I might have to do a 1000 options before i do a live one by myself. I think the platform is the largest learning curve as I have some ideas on how the market moves.
