Hi people! I'm Daniel. Trading expirience - 6 month live, no blowup yet!!! My methods are price action + VSA + market profile+"iron" risc management with fixed stops. Last two month playing "in zero".... Lot of learning now. Thanks to Mike and all of you guys here for this forum.
My name is Matias / Catkain. I am a Norwegian daytrader with about 10 years experience(only 1 year full-time), trading on the Oslo Stock Exchange from my home in Jakarta, Indonesia. My focus is shifting gradualy into a more long term perspective and I am very interested to learn more about alternative investments. Small projects in search of financing, especially in SE-Asia are of interest to me and my friends.
To learn a little more about me and my Responsible Trading philosophy, you can read my blog that can be found via google. I look forward to reading more on this forum and encourage you to contact me directly if you have a project that slightly resembles what I have described. I am also open to discuss other topics online or in person if there are other traders located in Jakarta or Singapore. Examples of investments I have been looking at are bamboo-fields, Litigation funds, silver bullions and real-estate.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, look forward to learning more about the community here!
I live in Australia and have been learning to trade futures - the FTSE at this stage. Mainly using Time and Sales, DOM and simple charts. Mixed success at this stage but plan to keep learning and improving. The thread on price action and reading the tape by Bloom is what bought me to this site.
I've been trading on and off for several years - mainly stocks on a swing basis until earlier this year when I switched over to eminis and narrowed my horizon to intraday. My objective is to trade full time.
Good forums are few and far between. futures.io (formerly BMT) came highly recommended from some experienced traders in another forum I belong to. I'm looking forward to sharing experiences, perspectives, insights and ideas as my own expertise develops. I attribute most of my success and the advancement of my education to the generosity of more experienced traders whom I've met online. I hope to perpetuate this trend as my own experience and success develop and I have more to offer others.
Looking forward to some great discussions. Thanks Mike!
I have been lurking here for a few weeks and the main thing that initially brought me to this forums was the number of users of Ninjatrader. I was introduced to ninjatrader by another trading education site and absolute love it, especially the chart trader and ATM strategies.
Over the last year I have concentrated primarily on forex and spent the last month researching brokers and feeds that I could use with ninjatrader. Finally settled on PFG and have opened a live account with them this week.
I am based in Perth, Western Australia which is actually quite a good timezone to be able to have a full time job and trade in the evening. US Session opens 8pm my time, so quite conducive for day trading that session.
I have been heavily involved in trading since January 2010, probably spending 20-30 hours extra a week on top of the day job. So coming up to 2 years in the journey, I would still say I don't have a solid trading plan yet, I am a mix of 1001 websites and books :-), its like I need to exhaust all available materials before I decide on my trading plan.
However, I am definitely leaning towards intraday trading, price action and supply/demand are areas that resonate the most with me at the moment. Never really got into using oscillators, etc if its not on the chart itself, with the exception of volume I have not really taken to it. So I primarily look at Pivots (Daily/Weekly) and some SMAs for general position, together with manually picking supply/demand levels.
Anyway, futures.io (formerly BMT) seems like a great trading community. If you look around the web you will find me on a few other forums, where I have started similar threads. I have abandoned them all, mainly through lack of discipline, but also as there never seems to be too much discussion. Maybe because I write too much
I will start a trading journal and try and develop a plan. My biggest weakness is enjoying learning about trading, rather than just concentrating on trading a specific plan. I hope to write a trading journal to make me more accountable to reaching this goal.
Hello Members,
I am from Spain. Sorry for my English. I am a beginner in Forex. Today increase my knowledge of the PA-Price Action. Study of Al Brooks's book "Price Action Bar to Bar". It is not easy reading but the content is fantastic and worth the effort to understand in detail and learn to apply it. Best Regards.
