To increase awareness of the new Bookmark feature, I created a wiki article so as you guys use it -- if you mention it in posts -- it will popup and get the attention of others.
The bookmarks are working fine. I like how it puts them in chronological post order, even from different threads. And the little fade out when one is deleted is pretty slick LOL.
Now, time to go thru the entire Spoos thread...
I'm not even gonna say anything about having a folder structure for the bookmarks... yet hehe. Damn good to at least have them all in one place. Nice work man.
Edit: One thing... there is no way to click over to the original post; if it's a long one it gets truncated.
Yeah, I am still playing around with status windows to fade in/out with jquery, near the mouse cursor -- similar to what the wiki does when you mouseover, but not quite the same.
I need this for several different things to deliver quick status messages, like a confirmed Bookmark or for the new chatbox, an alert.
But overall, I think I did good for two days work. A lot of vBulletin guys would love this feature. Glad we were able to implement something that makes the site more useful.
The next thing I thought about doing is implementing a Follow User option. So for example, I could follow and receive an update every time he writes a new post.
Is there any interest in this being a feature? Please let me know before I spend time on it.
I'm working my way up to the really huge projects. The webinars database, and the vendor review system... gotta refine all my framework functions, queries, html, css, etc...
For all of the Fio members benefit we hope the Ecuador lockdown remains in place for more months yet so you have the time to keep adding all these improvements

I would love to be able to follow individuals. I have about a dozen in mind. If they post in threads I'm not currently following, I won't know it now except by accident. This way, I would pick up on their new posts wherever they were.
