My name is Ray and live in San Diego. I have been learning forex for the past 5 years and finally became profitable this past year after spending every available minute looking at the charts it seems
I have blown several accounts and had several mentors- some good some not. Spent more time and $$ than I ever thought I would to learn this - and still learning. I work full time in IT and have an asshole for a boss.
It has been my goal the past 5 years to be able to trade full time. I plan on this transition within the year.
I have a year of expenses saved to live on and am building my trading capital accounts. Currently using MT4 but am also interested in Multi Charts. ( Which is actually how I found this site).
I am currently participating in a body transformation contest- grand prize will add another $7000 to my account. 9% fat loss so far in 8 weeks, 4 weeks to go. Wish me luck
Anyway, I stumbled on this site and noted the quality of members and posts that appear top shelf so I had to join.
Hi Everybody, im located in UK, and have had an interest in trading over several years. I look forward to learning of others success and approaches and being part of a helpful community.
Hi guys, I'm about three months into learning to trade, focusing on the Forex market. I've enjoyed reading the many posts on this site and have learned a lot. Seems like a really good place for all skill/experience levels. Thanks!!
I just heard about Big Mike's through another webinar for MTPredictor so I decided to check this out to try and learn more. A bit about me first though. I'm a high school math teacher in Canada and first got interested in trading by reading various websites online. One of them happened to be JSmineset and reading Sinclair was a real enlightenment to seeing what was going on in the world of trading and money flows, basically everything. Jim did say that the one thing that did work all the time was fibonacci retracement levels, which is why I got into MTPredictor, which I think is outstanding software. Of course, the software is only part of the answer - the other is the trader himself, and I'm still learning to apply it correctly and learning about psychology and how to manage my own. I still have a lot to learn since my time available to trade is limited to the summer when I get time off from teaching. I want to learn as much as possible so that when I eventually retire from teaching, I hope to be able to apply the knowledge I will have accumulated studying trading and trying my hand at it. Having blown a few trading accounts, I know I have a lot to learn yet, so that's why I'm here. I recently started studying cycles from JM Hurst as well for swing trading and find that fascinating, especially since I'm a math teacher. Too bad it's not in the curriculum to teach at school.

I took a hiatus after having nearly a 20% drawdown last year. It was my first time trading and I got out of the markets immediately when I realized I was clueless. I read a couple of chapters in a book and I thought I had the complete grasp of what it takes to be a successful trader. However, I am glad to say that I have never blown out!
That was in October 2011 (that volatile period killed me) and after 5 months of doing nothing but studying, simulating, research, planning & organizing, and I have just now started testing a strategy with a small amount of capital. So far, so good.
I'll open a journal in the future but right now I'm enjoying the ideas I get from other journals and continuing to test and, hopefully, prove my strategy. I'll be posting more in the future and everyone will be able to get to know more about me then.
