Hi everybody... Ronald From Barranquilla, Colombia..

right know im doing an online course on a trading academy webpage , but the forums aren't so great..! so that's why im here..
mmm i must say that sometimes i feel overwhelmed by all the material posted here, i don't even know were to start.. but i hope to stay on this comunity and one day start giving some advice..
I am just now discovering the concepts of day trading. I have been playing with Ninjatrader for the last three months and have enjoyed the wealth of knowledge this forum has to offer.
Hi, just thought I'd introduce myself. I trade mostly CL these days discretionally and am trying to automate some simple things in stocks and FX. I use NinjaTrader for manual trading, TradeStation for research and Interactive Brokers for execution of stocks and currencies.
Greetings from Altoona, AL! My name is Ron Kiker and I have been trading for a while. This is my second forey into the trading world. I traded the futures market (mostly ags and meats) back in the 90's and lost my shorts (and my longs, come to think of it). It has taken me since the 90's to convince my wife to let me try again.
I'm doing much better this time in that I have been able to switch to working part-time as a consultant and trade full-time, as opposed to working full-time and trading part-time.
I have been actively trading for aboout a year, now. Primarily trade the ES and the NQ. I daytrade exclusively, no over-night positions.
I consider myself to be somewhere between a beginner and intermediate trader. I say that because I have been at it long enough and learned enough to realize that I still have so much more to learn. If I am not trading, I am reading and studying about trading.
:hi i am fairly new to trading and i got really interested when i read about jesse livermore as well as other professional traders like richard dennis who believed that anyone could be taught .. I am know studying the forex market and i am still in demo for a few months is there anyone out there that could recommend a broker for the forex market that accepts canadians as well as the ninja trader platform if possible as i like it mirus does not accept canadians neither does mb trading any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance
I gave Apiary a try and other than the possibility of using their money I didn't receive anything that made me a better trader. I paid the fee but they refunded it when I said it wasn't working for me. We are all different and maybe it will work for you.
I also gave TopStepTrader a try. I liked their approach much better and one thing I got out of it was that I was not yet ready to trade live.
Whoever you go with I don't think you should expect them to really be of much help to you other than provide funds if you prove yourself - and that's a pretty good reason. However if you have the funds and you are a profitable trader then why not take 100% of the profit?
BTW - the main reason these didn't work for me was the amount of 'noise'. Too much happening from too many people with different ideas.
I am Canadian and use Mirus (Ninjatrader). I can (but don't) trade currencies (i.e. 6E, 6C, 6a) but not forex per se. I also use Interactive Brokers but it is my understanding that their data feed is filtered and therefore no where as good as Mirus.

Hi Everyone,
I trade futures spreads, mostly in the agricultural commodities using seasonality. ( Welcome to Moore Research Center) I find I have to look at a lot of charts until I find one or two that looks good enough to trade. Still learning lots. Hard to find advanced spread trading info.
Have traded Crude, Euro, Canadian$, wheat, corn, soybeans, canola but not with any consistency.
Brett Steinberger's book 'The Daily Trading Coach' has been extremely helpful.
I like the helpfulness in this forum and the level of knowledge from y'all. Webinars are excellent.
