Edited to add: got to admit--no support for C# no CUDA
Edited to add: no recent CUDA innovation means NVIDIA cut off support for R&D, which means they are going to experience a drawdown in stock price. Been there, done that.

The problem with this card is the connections. HDMI, DB15 and DVI. Unless you have really old monitors, you are better off getting a card with 2xHDMI or 2xDisplayPort (or more) connectors. Check with your monitor to see which they support.
I have no clue why you keep saying things along those lines Mike. Every monitor produced today worth its salt has a DVI connection (such as the Dell U2412M you recommended earlier). Unless you are going to run something like 2,560 × 1,600 and want a single link instead of dual (for good reason, I would too) or want to run sound to your monitor via the displayport cable, it really doesnt matter. You will replace cards well before display port is your only option to connect your monitor.
Nvidia NVS 290's and 440's are dirt cheap on ebay. If you are going to run 1920x1200 or less and dont need sound, theres no good reason not to get these cards, except for personal preference, which is understandable. They are cheap and reliable and are passively cooled.
i m considering to let someone to built a PC for trading , don t need more than 3 monitors i think , but want to be ready for upgrade also in the future .
1. i d like to know pros and cons using this cpu INTEL Core i3 3225 3,3GHz, 3MB Intel Core i3-3225 Ivy Bridge 3.3GHz LGA 1155 55W Dual-Core with integrated graphic card hd 4000 , so the PC wouldnt need a graphic card so i could conect monitors straight to a mother board witch suports 2-3 monitors .. one of them would be only vga suport ... so what do you say about this solution ??
2. if i use a Graphics card Newegg.ca - ASUS EAH5450 SILENT/DI/1GD3(LP) Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card , i could conect 2 monitors into this card surely , not 3 .....but the mother board monitor outputs would be not working then , at the same time works either mother boards outputs or graphics card outputs , am i right ?? there is no chance to use all of the outputs them at sthe same time , i think..... also i dont mind buying ATI firepro 2460 , it s not cheap but as @Big Mike says its without problems and works perfectly
3. my monitors suports dvi , hdmi ... they are full HD , 1920x1080 Full HD Resolution ,
4. in the future , using for instance 2 of this monitors LG EA93 29-inch 21:9 LG EA93 29-inch 21:9 monitor is $630 | News | Geek.com plus the card asus eah 5450 i mentioned , would it work together ?? the card has resolution 2560 x 1600 , monitors have 2,560 x 1,080 ...
i m technicaly no good at building PC s and i want some kind of compromise , some of you are experts in this field .....
also there is no reason having many fans , noise . consumption is also important. and as i said , the PC would be upgradable , so if you have any sugestions , please don t hesitate .. probably would be better if i send links all of the components i want to use in the new PC
The FirePro 2460 can be found on ebay pretty often for under $100. If I remember right I think I bought two of them for a total of $150 (~75/ea).
29 inch monitors are too big in my opinion, and way too expensive. I think I paid 279 each for my 24" LED U2412M's from Dell, so you could get two of them for less than what you are looking at for the 29 inch, and have far more usable screen real estate.
Hi @Big Mike ,
well , have to admit two monitors will have resolution around 3800 x 1000 comapared to one LG with 2600 x 1000 .. have to look for dell you mentioned..eny reason you prefer them?
did you buy two of fire pro 2460 ? how did you conect them ? SLI ? or without any SLI ? and what would hapend if i put two cheap ASUS EAH5450 SILENT/DI/1GD3(LP) Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3 next to each other ? they don t suport SLI anyway..... but would they work both together on one mother board ??
i would need to register on ebay and probably buy one fire pro 2460 , one card is better than 2 , i think ..the simpler the better , thats the way i want to keep things ... it s not always posible but as long as it is , its fine
I thought it was not possible to hook up more then one...
Btw, Encore adpater is very buggy... I has restarted my computer a couple of times and a mess to install, but not it works OK, but it happens time to time it get disconnected and I have to restart the computer.. I hope the Matrox is works better...
Thanks!
