Hi traders: this is one large community! Wish I could tell you why I was here. Three years ago I started looking at trading for a living. I've been to all four corners of the internet. Still haven't found what I'm looking for. I have a tradestation account opened, now wish I'd gone with ninja. I need a simple, primarily mechanical method to trade futures for an hour before I go to work. I've spent 20+ hours a week for three years looking at the scams, all the pretty indicator, watching webinars and reading websites. Kinda wish now I'd been starring at charts, probably would have done more good. Spilled milk. Somebody needs a hug. Anyway, I'm 53 married with kids young enough to be my grandchildren. Wife doesn't think I'll ever actually trade, just buy stuff about trading. Do believe she's losing her since of humor. My favorite purchase is Paint Bar Factory's complete indicator package. Now what do I do with it? I'm not even familiar enough with tradestation's platforms to place a trade, maybe I should be there practicing. I usually not this indecisive. I'm in the top 5% of my field outside of trading, that should eliminate stupid. Vacations and normal purchases and places to eat, not a problem, instant decision. But trading...

Hi Big Mike and everyone else.
My name is Benjamin, and I have been trading for several years now but have not found myself to be profitable. Like Mike I have blown several accounts, something I'm now working on to prevent in the future, have done several very costly courses, of which none have benefited me financially. Sure some good info, but most of which is readily available on sites like babypips.com
I'm passionate about trading, and I'm determent to see myself become a successful trader. Yes I've got loads of other passions, most could make me money as well, but none are quite like trading.
I've already started to read through posts from different members, I like the forum ethics, ie no self promotion etc.
At the moment I don't feel I've got loads to bring to the table in terms of making one a better trader, but anything to do to help I'll do, including referring other traders to this forum. Anyone can contact me and if you want to help me succeed in my goals all the better.
Either way, I hope all of us continue to be there for one another, as I sincerely believe that if we help one another, we're off much better. Emotionally, financially etc.
I have approximate answers, possible beliefs and different degrees of certainty of different things. But I'm not absolutely sure of anything and there are many things i don't know anything about.
My name is Jefferies and I am new to trading. Actually still practicing in demo for now. I am almost ready to try my hand @ Binary options and hopefully make alittle money. (smile)
Hopefully my hard head will absorb some of your great tips and I learn alittle.
Hi. I'm a new comer. I came from HK and I started to trade NQ from few months ago.
Day trading is very difficult to me, my account is negative right now since my first fund.
Obviously I have so much need to learn and improve.
My name is John. I'm very new to trading. Currently using investopedia stock stimulator and now I also purchase the $50.00 elite access to get more knowledge in investing and trading correctly.
My goals are to pick better stocks for long and short term investing. Maybe someday if I get good at this I can just trade for a living. Just trying to learn things right now.
I've been intrigued by the markets for a very long time, and finally, this year am able to dedicate myself to them full time. Unfortunately, thus far I've lost more than I've made. However, my losses are at least fewer each passing month. Hurray!
I'm following a lot of what Alex Elder recommends, and currently swing trading stocks. In the next couple months, I plan on dabbling in selling options. From there, futures, forex? One great thing about trading- you are constantly learning!
Thank you Mike for creating this forum and emphasizing the open and positive sharing of information and experiences. Newbies like me are certainly grateful!! And thank you to everyone actively participating. I'm looking forward to exploring and contributing where I can.
