I'm a part-time options trader, trading mainly positive theta positions. I'm slowly trying to get used to directional trades, but my positive theta trades are currently paying for my directional ones.
Recently discovered ninja trader and looking forward to its possibilities.
I'm an ES SIM trader using Price Action and actively reading and following Al Brooks.
Won't go live until I'm consistently successful.
Using a 5 min chart and no indicators.
thanks for all of the input on this great site!
I am a software developer by education and trade. 3 years ago laid off for the first time in my working career. Been writing code and trading since. I would possibly consider myself as an intermediate trader, as the markets are as predictable as they are unpredictable. Been fortunate enough to experience my winning trades out weighing my loosing. Did most of my serious losses in the simulated paper realm.. (keeping fingers crossed.. he he).
it's my first post after registering 135 days. I am from China and am a part-time trader. My major job is a software engineer. I am using NT plus IB as my trading platform.
wish I could learn more from this forum and eager to make friends with everyone here.
I have been involved in trading for most of my life. When I was very young I had the chance to learn what it meant to trade stocks from my mother. Since then I have banched my interests into nearly every tradable security. I was practicing trades far before any brokerage would give me an account. Right now I am a Computational Mathematics & Computer Science major and at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University going into my junior year of study. I plan to combine all of my knoledge and persue a career in the financial services industry. I use NinjaTrader for executions and most analysis while using MATLAB for more advanced analysis. Like most other people I have lost a significant amount of money trading. On the road to becoming a succesful trader there was nothing that tought me more than a loosing trade (other than research). I look forward to being a part of this forum!
