i am trading about five years stocks, cfd , futures and fx. I crash several times my account, of course, but it's getting better :-)
I hope to get some new insights about trading from this forum.

Hi,

I am a trader from The Netherlands. I have lots of experience with stocks, options, CFD's, futures, you name it. The most difficult with trading is controlling your emotions. At the moment I am working with Sierra Charts only for trading futures particular FGBL and FESX. I love this fantastic software, it's the best I ever had and I had many! I am trying to learn more about automatic trading because of controlling the emotions. Although it is very difficult making automatic trading possible in Sierra Charts (you have to be some kind of Einstein ) I want learning it. At his moment there is somebody helping me with my own made strategy to make it automatic which is a simple version of one of the Rockwell strategies.

I began trading 15 years ago, but I had to wait the second large loss (much bigger than the first) to wake up and see that I was killing myself with my own hands and doing extremely absurd errors. I saw that when things went fine it was mostly luck.
Just one example: in september 2008 I told my girlfriend that I'd expect the market to fall heavily. I had long positions on stock market with excessive leverage; these were in good gain. Guess what? I left them there till the market actually fell and I got a margin call in october loosing a lot of money. My girlfriend could witness I had correctly forecasted market crash; now I had to avoid my head crash caused by my girlfriend.
3 years ago I began working on myself and I can say that both my behaviour and results have changed; but I still have to watch out very carefully as to where my brain goes. Now I hope I'll continue improving
I daytrade using my own software because I want to have control over it (I can fix things when I want, I can add features I like, ecc), so I'm interested in API platforms mostly.
I prefer trading futures over stocks/forex because they look more efficient and transparent.

I've been involved in trading for about 2 years and paper trading for nearly a year now and am looking to go live in next couple of months, which means I don't know the real pain of losing money yet Although, I've set up some mental rules that brought me closer to reality and when I get a losing trade(s) it feels like I'm losing the real cash. Well, I'll compare the feelings when I go live, of course...

Hi, i'm new to the forum, & looking for some alerts for NT7. Specifically an audio & hopefully visual alert for the SMI & also the same for the NYSE Tick chart. I suspect others have inquired about these things. Would these alerts be avail. to elite members as downloads? Thanks in advance!!

I am still at the "investigation" stage and just trying to sort out some of the "fact from fiction". I am looking for one datum, a starting datum that I can begin to orient other data to so that hopefully all of this will begin to make some sense to me in microcosm.

I am not looking for the silver bullet datum. Just a reliable fact or point that I can feel that I can start from.
