Searching the internet for trading related items, I stumbled across "BigMikeTrading"... so glad I did! I'm excited to continue forward researching and studying this fascinating thing we call trading and look forward to the big day I can put it all together and throw my first touch down. In the mean time, I just want to thank all the contributors on this site, I think you do a wonderful job.
Hi Mike ,
I discovered your blog while listiening to a webinar by Rob Mitchell. I have been in the investment world for many years starting in the early 1970"s as a stock broker with EF Hutton . Was not good at the 75 cold calls a day and did not like the general lack of professionalism and customer care so ended that short career. However I have always been somewhat addicted to trading the market and over the last three and half years have become enamored with futures. mainly the emini s&p. So I have traded live on a small scale because have not felt comfortable increasing size as yet . Still looking to gain more confidence . And hope that I can be a contributing participant to your blog. thanks for getting it up a going. cheers, David
My name is Chris and I'm a trader living in Sunny Southern California.
I've been trading equities for almost a year and love trading, but it sure gets lonely. Though she is always supportive, I know my girlfriend is tired of most of our evenings together starting out with me showing her my charts for the day. I'm excited to be able to participate in a community of people interested in the same thing I am!
I hope to contribute as much as I can to this forum and am pleasantly surprised by how respectful and thoughtful people are on this forum. Kudos to Big Mike for creating such a great environment especially in a subject that is wrought with confusion and difficulty for the beginner.
I have been a futures day trader since 1985. Found the forum while searching for a NT7 indicator. I usually do not participate because of the rudeness and ego tripping that goes on in most other forums. Glad that Mike has created a great environment. Trading is a lonely business.
Hope to post [and give back] some indicators for Multicharts and Ninja Trader 7
Have been here for a while lurking but hope to do spend some more time learning and contributing.
Am based in the UK and day trade just one market - FTSE Futures.I know thats probably not of much interest to most of the folks on here but I trade Al Brooks PA style and can vouch that his methods work very well on it.
I hope to be able to share some setups and also learn from others.
I have just started to share my daily trades and thoughts on a blog that is helping to keep me honest and accountable. Feel free to pop by and make any comments if the FTSE or Al Brooks PA is your thing.
(just been told I cant post links so I will update this post in due course)
Thanks Mike for creating a such a productive Trading Forum, there really arent many good ones around!
i started off trying to program a momentum indicator crossing system but it took me a long time to realize that even when i back-tested it over years worth of data it was random whether it showed a profit or not
great learning experience
now more focussed on finding the meaningful prices and trading when clear indication as to whether the market will reject or go thru
