my name is marcos, magg is an acronym of my given names plus family names.
i have been trading for a little over two months now. i'm currently down about 12%, which to me is equivalent of wiping my account clean. i attended a day trading course about 6 months ago, and know that only 10-20% of traders actually profit consistently. until i reach such consistency, i will keep my posts to a minimum for the sake of congruence.
i'm a trained economist, so i understand formal theory and market / human behavior have nothing to do with each other, jaja.
i found this nice forum searching over the internet on ablesys abletrend, remote hosted dedicated computers and other topics. i use tradestation, and sadly see most available developments are meant for ninjatrader.
Thank you for starting this forum, and to the other members for giving freely of their time and opinions.
I'm just learning to trade now, and look forward to learning from all of you. Let me thank you in advance for your tolerance of my many (likely) dumb questions!
My name is Jason and a newbie to trading. I've been a commercial airline pilot for 15 years and live in the Houston, TX area. I'm looking to trade longer time periods since I can't be at home every day checking on the progress of the trade. I almost have to have a set it and forget it mentality. Anyways, been lurking here for a couple weeks and finally joined the elite membership as I really like what I see here.
I am a long time(20+yrs) trader in futures and options from the Netherlands. Blew some accounts but now doing OK.
Looking to improve my trading skill and think futures.io (formerly BMT) Forum has lots to offer.
Hello everyone,
I've been trading the Currency market for the last 5 years. As a beginner I did really good with my trades until I got greedy and wasn't satisfied with small profits anymore, so I lost everything I made and then some. Took a break from the currency market for a couple of months and came back with a strong will to succeed, only to make the same mistake as before. So I did that a couple of more times until I decided I needed to remove my emotions from my trades. Somehow I stumbled on Ninja Trader and I have been a big fan ever since, and a fan of Big Mike's Trading.
Greetings Fellow Traders!
I've been trading since the mid-90's but with variable success. Have traded options, stocks, FX and futures on the TOS, NinjaTrader, MT4 and various broker platforms. Am currently encouraged with some option spreads training and paper trading but still wanting to supplement that with swing trading or possibly some day trading.
I'm currently trading mostly on the TOS so will be interested to see what strategies and indicators you all can recommend for that environment. I like the ability to trade on screen with Ninja Trader but just balk at the platform and data costs. A cost of doing business I know...)
I teach computer graphics and web design and currently living in Kyiv, Ukraine.
