No you can't do this with Ninjatrader. I got this answer from Ninja team. There is nothing wrong with your Ninjatrader platform. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next session, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear in the markets. We repeat: there is nothing wrong with your Ninjatrader indicators do not look for other platforms. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to... The Outer Limits.
The midline of the Bollinger Bands is there. I guess I had set the color to transparent, because there were too many lines. You just need to open the indicator dialogue and select a different color for the midline.
Thank you, but no this doesn't move the baseline per my needs.
Imagine like this. Grab your pictures and you want the baseline (midpoint/26MA) to be at the top of your screen and only everything else is below it. So... You can't see anything above your baseline/midpoint.
When you adjust the x/vertical dimension you are only 'stretching' its current position.
I guess you don't have Tradestation or have had it, which is a very smart move haha... I don't know how to explain it except to be able to move the vertical baseline anywhere in the window and not have NT tell me where it needs to be.
For it to work in sizing, then I would need to have an entire window open to just this indicator and considering that I use 7 of them MTF, then that would be interesting. haha...
I don't understand the challenges with NT and their scaling issues, but as I read on their forums, it just doesn't do it, but I was told that NT7 indi's do, but I guess I am too dumb to click a mouse, drag a screen and voila.
LOL i don't have NT7 installed yet but in NT6.5 you can't drag around the content of a window as you intend to do. Sorry, you'll need to stick to TradeStation.
Hi, I am a T3 owner and just for the interest wanted to recreate the Keltner because sometimes on my renko chart i wish i could increase the ATR. But i was not able to totalle reproduce the T3 outer bands. What exactly are your settings ?
Center MA is 55 but what settings for the volatility bands ?
I think the ChannelThis indicator only works with NT 6.5. For NT7 you can also use the Universal Keltner Channel. Just set the moving average type for the center line to EMA, period 55, MA Type for volatility smoothing SMA (you can also try EMA), period for volatility bands 30, range type to True Range and Smoothing to False.
That should give about the same results. See below.
