I've been using Esignal for years and finally made the jump to 11.5. It is the best Esignal to date. Very fast compared to 11.4 (11.4 was frustrating and buggy) Now that 11.5 is optimized its even faster than 10.6. It Appears Esignal decided to copy a few great features from NinjaTrader. Esignal copied the Global curser tracking from Ninja and it works real well. They also copied the popout trading panel on charts. This was a great feature in Ninja. You can now set alerts for all lines drawn on your charts. Including alerts on all pivot points. I could never do that in 10.6 Anyway, If you use 10.6 now the only thing you will lose is the Tick replay - which you can still keep on 10.6. Sorry for plugging 11.5 like this but this is now my favorite trading platform.
Good Luck,
Joe
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
same with me, i worked with iqfeed and multicharts for a while. now 11.5 is so fast and stable, i use it for charting and analyzing. for trading i love SierraChart with ZF-Datafeed.
I use eSignal 11.5+ for analysis and overview of the markets (futures, stocks, forex), I really like the scalability of the charts and the speed, the customizable tabbed GUI, data feed being integrated into the charting app is a big plus in my opinion, it is a complex package, an integrated client like the CQG IC
when it comes to delta bid/ask analysis, I stopped using it as I couldnt justify it being on my charts stealing my precious focus not concentrating on importnant things, I consider it a good placebo for analysis-oriented traders, but that is just my point of view, it may work for you ;-). The more experienced you get with your style of trading the less information you need to put on a trade.
I also use NT7 chart trader for executions of my momentum trades, as I couldnt find better chart trading solution (fast and intuitive), NT7 is simply by far the best I ve seen for fast chart trading on multiple markets like I do, still thing it s a great software for most of your needs
if you are using DLL's in your efs files, and on top of that if it is on 64 bit platform, v11 might really be painful. I am still using v10.6 for some efs files that i use
I am 46 yrs old and been waiting years to trade. I have been test driving eSignal 12 this week. Mostly just watching it run on my work place guest network to make sure it stays connected. So far so good as I attempt to line up the ducks before I go live for first time sometime this summer or fall. My plan is to swing trade days to week time frames.
The platform is the most visually appealing to me out of the rest I have tried (Ninja, multicharts, realtick and few consumer brands.
I am struggling with creating a main home page. It seems like as i try to drag things around and resize they disappear or go a different direction. I need to watch some tutorials to refine this process as it just can't be that hard......right?
Any simple tips to soften this learning curve? or just just generate some eSignal chat?
