I'm an engineer ready to tip-toe back into some trading. I have good and bad past experiences and have decided to use the analytic approach of going back into this. I want to develop strategies, while doing extensive backtesting before deploying them. I like staying away from a market or situation that I don't understand, but stepping in when I see an opportunity.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Greetings from Germany! I am a doctoral student specialized on behavioral finance. Honestly, I found this forum from the recommendation of another forum admin, because I was launching an on-line survey for my dissertation and it was hard to get enough people to participant.
I feel this forum is so great that I wish I could have found here earlier. I am a person who is strongly risk-aversion when it comes to investing, so even I have learnt finance for almost ten years though I never had the guts to try myself out in the stock market. I would like to learn some new things from everyone here and also would like share what I know from the text book if anyone is interested. If the time is ready, I think “investing in the stock market” with be my new year’s resolution this year.
While not totally new to trading, I'm new to trading the ES
I'm glad I found this site as I'm deciding if I should sign up for a course, but haven't done so because I didn't find any meaningful reviews about the course. And my request to get a first person feedback from past course participants hadn't been successful either.
So I'm suspicious the trainer earns more from his training than his trading, lol.
I look forward to embarking on a fruitful journey here and be good enough in my trading so I can share.
I dont know if this introduction is going to reach you because it looks to me that the first one that I made did not reach you either. So now I'm trying again. I don't know much about threads and things like that because I'm not fimiliar with it. There is sertain things on the computer that I understand and can do, but then there are others that I can't do and also not educated on, and this forum stuff is one of the things I'm not so good in.
Ja I.'m trying to sort out myself in the forex dungens and trying to make an income, but it does not look like I'm very sucsessful in my ventures. May be because I havent met the right people who realy can help me. I've spend thousands on indicatord and programs to educate me on the forex only with promises and to me it looks like this business is just about everybody wants to rip off your money with all the indicators and programs they want to sell to you. Realy I don't know what to believe anymore and who can I trust in this game, because I have lost my faith in people completely and must start from scratch again.
Hope everything is going to go better from hereon foreward. Thanks.
Have spent a few years trading desultorily, which is not a very promising way ! There were family commitments, but even as these gradually reduce, I am building up a solid foundation. I hope to benefit from the vast experience of many fellow traders, while also being useful to the community. Cheers and best wishes to all !
My name is Rick Ratchford and you might say I'm an old dog to trading.
I started trading in the Futures and Stock Markets back in the late 80's.
Since the early 90's I have been analyzing and forecasting market turns, being part of many early trading forums of that time.
During the 2000's I have kept more to myself with the exception of my private trading membership and continue as a full-time trader in the Futures and Forex markets.
My trading experience is now crossing the 25-year mark.
With hundreds of trading articles published, a few private label books, software applications and thousands of market predictions under my belt, I hope that I can be of help to some of you from time to time.
Just wondering if anyone knows anything about James Edward's Complete Currency Trader. I recently viewed a video and it was interesting but I am very skeptical. His product is very expensive. Hoping to learn more about the good, the bad and the ugly.
I started trading a few years ago, only in small amounts. Because I'm quite good with numbers & analysis (my day job is as financial controller) I would like to start analyzing markets via tools like NinjaTrader (which I now used for a few months). I love backtesting ideas for future use, and I would like to share my thoughts and learn from others.
Hi to all, I've been working as a flow/execution trader in various markets for the past 15 years (equities/forex/fixed income). I've spent so much time executing trades for other I figured its time to get serious about executing some for myself. Looking forward to intelligent discussions with the community.
