13 year trader. Mostly YM, ES and NQ. Trade at home but currently stranded with the Mirus/ZenFire debacle. Changing brokers and FCM now but still waiting on the funding.
Ex MF Global customer too. Sold the last of the claim to a vulture just to get it done. Took another year before I finally got the '100% funds return' letter from the court.
Was an IDEM seat lease holder for a few years. Excellent deal then but insane deal now if you're a YM or the other contract trader that the CBOT's IDEM seat offers.
Anyway, hope to be back up and running soon!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I've been SIM trading successfully with a ES scalping strategy for about a month, then switch to live. Didn't work out live at all because orders filled a lot faster on SIM than on live. Nobody told me so I had to find out the hard way :-)
Since then I learnt a couple of lessons the hard way, always taking controlled risks though. I like to learn that way, it sticks so much better when I loose real money *sarcastic grin*. I also have good winning trades, but they don't contribute much to my learning curve I guess...
I am new to this forum thing and dont know the rules and protocals but I want to introduce myself :
I have been trading for ten years and recently had an experience with my broker (Mirus) that sent me searching for answers. I am a Canadian client so it is difficult to find a broker that accepts Canadian customers. The zenfire problem has halted my trading for the last two weeks and now I have been told that next week my account will be transferred from Rosenthal Collins to Dorman and I can resume trading however when I call Dorman they say they dont handle Canadian accounts. I have tried endlessly to get a straight answer from Mirus but they dont answer the phone and only send ambiguous replies to my emails. Enough ranting ... I hope I can get some new insights from the members of this site

I am in Alberta
I just got off the phone from Mirus and their customer support rep told me to look for a different broker...
I was told express futures would take the account but I am not familiar with them
Most FCMs can take Canadian accounts if they're bona-fide hedge accounts, not spec. And some do accept spec Customers, but only from certain provinces. Unfortunately I don't know many that accept accounts in Alberta.
Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Vipul Mehta. I am from Valley Forge, PA. I have been trading for 10+ years off and on. I have blown out a few accounts well into the 6 figure range! I have also been wildly successful as well. I have used Big Mike's Trading Forum in the past and for some reason never registered. I will be joining as an Elite Member to support the idea exchange, which I believe is so important in the trading realm. I hope to contribute also, although I am more of a research-oriented person.
I use a wave/cycle based approach to trading. I like to take bits and pieces of different methodologies and add them to my own system. Currently, I am studying up on volume profile and order flow analysis. I hope to incorporate these skills to further hone my system.
I appreciate being able to come to a place such as this to freely exchange ideas, research, tidbits, etc.
Joined today. Thanks to Big Mike; this place is wonderful.
I am trading on trading since 2006; and blown my account couple of times. Now with futures.io (formerly BMT)F; looking forward to improve upon my skills and strategies.
