Mentioning TradersLaboratory is fine, we just ask that when possible put content on our site and link to that content instead of linking to off-site threads.
Thanks for the welcome. When I joined the other place it was a pretty small community, not much bigger than here. It is still a quality hangout but I find it difficult to keep up at times. I rather like small tight knit communities so maybe your job is half done Nothing wrong with having a 'house in the country' anyway.
Hello everyone
It's great to find this community. I am a rookie trader aiming to learn as much as I can about trading so that I can eventually make a more flexible lifestyle choice. Lots of learning ahead and just wanted to say thank you all for a great informative site, with a special thanks to Big Mike, Sharky, The Wizard, Rjay, Cunparis Eric j, Jeff Castille, Cory, Silvester. I have learned so much from you guys!!!
Here's to successful trading!
I am a physics prof by day interested in trading by night; I like to combine the physicist approach to problem solving with the skills need for succesfull trading. I am working on coding some strategies for NinjaTrader, particularly a FDAX AutoTrader and a NewsAutoTrader.
I was wondering if anybody in BMF has experience (positive or negative!) trading major news announcements.
I have been trading live for the pass 12 month taking profits and losses and now standing at about breakeven.
Thanks Big Mike for putting this awesome forum together, in the time I've been using the forum, it has helped my trading a great deal. I'm looking forward to the start of a successful year.
Just joined this forum and thought the right way would be to introduce myself.
I am Tony. I work as a software programmer in Maryland. I have been interested in trading for quite sometime but never really gave it a try. This year i decided to give it a shot. Was searching some details about renko and stumbled onto this forum. Saw some good posts and decided to join.
Just found this forum. I have been trading stocks and mutual funds for almost 10 years and daytrading ES futures for a year. Unfortunately, I still trade like a beginner... I have subscribed to numerous services and paid for several training courses, I can't say that any have made me profitable.
I am now retired (electrical engineer) and have more time to develop profitable methods. My goal is develop a system for trading the ES that is profitable. I hope to gain ideas here.
I heard about this forum from a friend. Read a few posts and like what I saw.
Looking forward to learning after throwing in the towel last year. It's something that I thought I could shake, but I'm back. I'm not so stressed and understand the psychological aspect of trading now.
I'm in Northern California, Folsom to be specific.
