Hello and thanks Big Mike for sharing your early experiences. I too have lost all my money before, then regrouped also, as I'll bet countless others have.
Now I'm more focused, and more determined than ever, but of course the fear of repeating the past always haunts, in the back of my mind.
Working on finalizing my trading system and on acquiring as much worthwhile knowledge as I can, and the indicators, videos, info and support here are greatly appreciated.
Take care,

Been a part-time retailtrader for a good 10 years now. started in Options, moved to futures, then forex, and back to futs again.
Have not blown my account yet, unlike Big Mike and lots of others, but being overcautious keeps me out of too many trades and thus has me slaving away for the bossman instead of daytrading from home, which still remains the ultimate goal.
Never had a sizeable account available, which also makes it pretty hard to operate the option/future markets.
Over the years have read through lots of forumthreads all over the web. Tried all kinds of other people's strategies, basically done the whole routine we all go through, funny how that works.
For the last year have the strategy sorted, now it's just tweaks to the tools and environment, and downsizing the emotions while upsizing the account...
Tweaking the tools is what got me to futures.io (formerly BMT), looking for solutions to NinjaTrader scripts. Found some, so that makes this already a fab forum and going by all the positive comments towards futures.io (formerly BMT) out there in social "trading" world, it's much more then that.
I am new to futures.io (formerly BMT) and would like to thank Mike for providing this platform for us all to share and learn from each other.
I have been trading the forex market for a few years now and have recently started to gain some interest in the ES futures. Hope to be able to contribute to this community in due course.
A brief history about me. I'm from Spain and i've been working in my trading system for about a year. Now that i've blown up two small accounts (you can't be good at this until you've blow up at least two accounts!) , i feel ready for the next step. I hope to share my ideas with the rest of you in this forum.
I am totally new to trading, its something that peaked my interest. a couple of months ago decided to join an online school for trading. Didn't see too many results from it even though i put in a good time and effort into it. Then I checked out some reviews about it, and found one here that warned people about it. Kinda sorry I didn't check it out earlier . I guess that's my first lesson, of the trading world, trust your gut and not a too good to be true story.
If anybody can help give me some direction, i'd appreciate it very much
My story is simple. I studied trading, reading the classic books, and soon started to paper trade.
From that point I quickly moved into trading my initial account, and I realized that it is a totally different beast. From this, I learned much about trader psychology.
I post articles and thought that my input here might be appreciated. I originally stumbled upon the forum over a year ago and enjoyed what it offered.
in my short time looking at the threads i am glad that I found this site. I trade exclusively options fmostly from the sell side and hope to find a community of like minded tradrs
Been reading lots of posts here on futures.io (formerly BMT) for some time. Seems like Google likes putting futures.io (formerly BMT) at the top of the rankings when search terms are related to "trading". Nice going Mike!! Anyway, I decided to join here and perhaps get some education and some questions answered -- maybe even offer some advice or suggestion.
I've been sim trading ES since 2009 and haven't really "got it" yet. Seems like my learned set-ups get bunked for often than not -- so I will continue to look for my trading strategy.
