My GUT tells me the right thing 90% of the time, getting myself to trust myself and take action well now that is a totally different thing. Also the claim of 90% accuracy on the gut has to be wrong otherwise why not take action on it to verify. It is just PFM I guess. ;-) Well here is todays journal.
Thanks all.
Also if you have NT7 and use Interactive Brokers. JAVA Updates will often disable your API for Interactive Brokers by removing your "old" Java. Here is the fix...
•Close NinjaTrader and Traders Workstation
•Locatejavaw.exe located in the following directory: •C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_25\bin(Note your version may be different from jre1.8.0_25)
•You are going to COPY the javaw.exe file to the 'clipboard' (right-click Javaw.exe and select copy)
Now paste it into the following two directories: •C:\Windows\System32
•C:\Windows\SysWOW64
•Once this is complete launch NinjaTrader and try the connection to InterActive Brokers again.
(Note: This morning I don't think I actually closed NT7 before doing this.)
Today was my last straw with KINETICK... NT7 can claim it is the best all they want, but KINETICK has failed to resolve my API issues with Interactive Brokers. I give up and will be going over to Interactive Brokers now for my data starting next month. Hopefully I will be less distracted using Interactive Brokers data than having KINETICK freeze up after a momentary disconnect from other providers. JUST FED UP WITH IT ALL. I have learned not to get over emotional about it as it is a fact of life, but I'll let it be someone else's fact from now on.
Okay I'm realizing or realized just how much better Kinetick is today...
That said I am still getting rid of it.
I don't mind paying for the service.... WHat got under my skin is all the times that my data stopped all together. Plus it always seemed to happen at critical times in the market.
I'd rather have something slower that works. Yes also my data is now filtered or clumped so it is impossible to truly track large orders. Well will not have that distraction I guess.
Had to reboot my system so no video today.
