Are you still simulating with $10K in the account?

Yes... for day trading. I'm getting better at it. I'm not posting all my trades. Very few. It's too much of a distraction.

I've been working a new swing trading system. It's turning out better than I thought (except for recent extreme market moves). Tonight it's signaling to go short ES/MES. Will take it but only a minimal position to leave room to scale in. Will hold this position until we have a lot of selling over at least 2 days. The system will tell me to cover.


A shorter time period version of the system ( 240 min bars ) is also signaling to short the ES. I'm only taking the 2nd entry. If price closes beyond the next level the NinjaTrader automation will add to my short. This could happen while I sleep.

Was short at 2955.75 from last night covered at 2890. My 1440 min system says to stay long but I want out until after Apple and Amazon earnings after the bell today. I may re-short after.

long 2894.25 on AAPL and Amazon earnings expectations.
edit: closed at 2894.5 . Earnings did not move the market at all or news already was out and knocked spoo down before I entered. Either way I'm not going to try again with aapl. I'll wait till after they announce and maybe reshort to re-align with system.
