For the record, IQFeed (Kinetick for NT users) is the most reliable data feed I've ever used. So I believe the problems may be something other than their fault. That said, I certainly understand the frustration if NT support cannot resolve the problem.
Does your trading machine use a wired network connection, or wireless?
Not saying that my problems are Kinetick's fault, just that it has not worked for me with my machine configuration.
Wired Yes. Been looking to get new router, but because of WIFI issues. 10/100/1000 all the way from cable to computer. CAT 7 Cable.
I have had this problem with NT7 and Kinetick almost since I first started using it. Also have contacted Kinetick several times on this issue with no resolution. I agree that IB data probably sucks, stinks and is just plain old bad. I realize that I am in the INDY 500 here and have just gotten out of the race car (that being Kinetick) and jumped into the VW bug. Problem I have had is that after IB data hiccups as it generally does during the day it also takes Kinetick down. Kinetick fails to restart but IB data with all its flaws does restart.
As you and I well know we accept responsibility for our trades and actions in trading. For next month I'm going to see if I can trade with the IB DATA. The pitfalls of totally inaccurate, bunched or packeted, Time and Sales is already obvious. Through it all I'll keep plugging away.
Lots of I's here, please don't take it as resistance as suggestions are welcome.
I've used Kinetic, Rythmic and CQG. I can say that almost every day, Kinetic would freeze on me. I tried it for a month and just couldn't get it to work. Then CQG which I really liked and now Rythmic for NT....which has worked well since I switched over several months ago.
I have a couple of friends on IB and they complain constantly about the feed for NT....however, one of them has IB feeding another platform as well with no issues....not sure which one but it appears the marriage of IB and NT is a rocky one at best.

Hmmm All these questions about internet, Kinetick, and IB...
I'll answer to the best of my ability.
1. Yes probably a hiccup along the way with the Internet. (One thing that I noticed that really helped was that I disconnected my WiFi water heater.)
2. Ninja Trader people have been helpful with Ninja Trader issues. With Kinetick I'm running into same problem that I had with TD Ameritrade when I was using that with NT7. Each one will blame the other with little or no resolution. It very well could be my Router is goofing up.
3. Okay so I have sent in my logs a few times and that was of some help. They showed me how my data was stopping and just what was happening.
4. I know that the problem actually starts with Interactive Broker connection, but then rolls over to Kinetick causing it to freeze for good until you disconnect and start over. (Weird thing and last straw for me was when I was starting to notice that I was getting a disconnect without even having an entry in my NT7 LOGS.)
5. Will take baby steps and explore new options. Suggestions welcome for.
Router to replace my D-Link 860 router. (5ghz has given out, rest still works fine to the best of my understanding)
I have a Motorola Docsis 3.0 modem that is still working well.
Right now taking a month rest from other than broker data feed at the moment now.
The platform should gracefully handle any disconnect. I have disconnects daily due to my location, Sierra Chart and IB never have an issue restarting automatically and downloading the missing seconds of data
