I finally got through to Mirus this morning, and it seems that they will not be implementing Rithmic as a feed, at least for the time being. This leaves you NT guys with the other option mentioned earlier, and leaves all other users to essentially fend for themselves.
I currently trade on Multicharts, and there is no option from Mirus at this stage, so that will be moving over to AMP.
I will cancel my account with Mirus and open directly with Dorman, where my $ is anyway, and start with Sierra Chart through the CTS feed.
Everything should be up and running in a few days time. I'll post here to let others know how that all goes. Cheers -
Based on the limited information we have available at this moment, and pending further official information / clarification, this is what I think is happening with Mirus.
Disclaimer: I don't know anything more than the average reader on this thread, so please don't take any of what is below as fact, its just one person's opinion based on very limited public information.
1. Temporary Fix: The Continuum + Kinetic 'solution' is a temporary fix to get Mirus back online with something. It sounds like the best they could patch together as quickly as possible. It sounds like Mirus tried (as recently as yesterday) to get back to a Rithmic solution short term, but was not successful in doing so. I see nothing indicating Continuum is the final and permanent end point for Mirus, it's a temporary stop gap measure.
2. Timeline: The two month aspect of the Mirus rebate program, implies to me their new projected milestone for the BigTick/Zen-Fire system upgrade has been slipped out into Feb 2014. They will probably get to some beta-release testing stage late in January.
3. Account Status: No where in anything I have read does Mirus indicate transitioning from Zen-Fire to Continuum is mandatory for an account owner. If you want to trade your Mirus account in the next two+ months , then yes you would need to make that transition. If this is true, then a client can choose to do nothing and wait for the final permanent solution to be rolled out in the relatively near future (Feb/March).
If this is where we are today, then I suggest a representative of Mirus schedule a (futures.io (formerly BMT)) webinar to explain the current status and plans in detail to Mirus Clients. Where we are today and where we are working to get to.
Getting confused now. I use Sierrachart with Iqfeed for Charts, I only need Ninjatrader for order execution. Are you saying I need Kinetick in addition to Continuum to actually get numbers in the DOM and be able to execute orders through Ninjatrader?
