I'm based in the UK and am pretty new to trading. I've been looking at Emini systems and working with Ninja now for about three months but have only SIM traded so far. My primary market is ES. I won't develop a secondary Market until I'm happy with this.
I discovered Big Mike's web site only a few weeks ago and found it really useful so am delighted he's decided to start a forum. Way to go Mike!
My aim is to make money consistently from ES trading, so I can give up or go part time in my day job. If what I learn and share can help others via this forum then I'd be even more pleased.
First I'd like to thank Mike for this great site!! I have been trading on and off since '84 but have since started retraining the last 5 years or so and have been trading futures starting with intermediate (days to week) term to daily and now trade the ES on an intraday basis. I aspire to trade for a living, eventually. As is often related by other traders, I can go through a good period of trading/building up an account and then lose it all. Being consistent has eluded me to this point with discipline being the main culprit.
I have gone through a few trading courses, learned other methods of trading by picking up books here and there and have gone through a few brokers and lots of trading software.
At this point, I trade the ES although I would like to find another vehicle other than the Nasdaq and Russell eminis.
I am looking forward to sharing my limited knowledge and learn from others. I think Mike has created the perfect forum for everyone.
I have been trading equities on and off for about 10 years. I started on ES futures last September, and have learned so much. I have read many books, been a part of many good rooms, and spent decent money on indicators. I just recently am starting to realize how important the mental training is when it comes to trading. I plan to focus more in this area.
I am a father of two girls, a husband to a beautiful wife (who allows me the time to spend on trading. ), and was recently let go from my job of almost 9 years.
I have known Mike since high school, and I do know that whatever Mike puts his mind to will be great, and thus I know this will be a great site for anyone who gets involved.
I look forward to sharing and also growing together with everyone on this site.
Hi moon , what can happen is that the spread can change at any given time especially before news events . Spreads arent set and if your dealer sets a fixed spread you probably will pay a commission and spread together . You could put on a trade and pay between $10 and $75 or more per .1M .
hi everybody, i've been trading for a year, with ups and downs, did NOT blow any accounts. now i just hit a stand point, can't seem to progress anymore. not looking for a holy grail, but rather for a sound and simple day-trading methodology
