Wow, NT 8 around the corner?? Started to think we may never see the day! At the risk of being called lazy, I must ask 2 q's. I looked all over and didnt see these topics, although I'm sure theyre somewhere.
1. NT7 supports storing historical bid and ask data. What you are asking if NT8 will store bid/ask data associated to each last trade tick. The answer to that question is yes.
2. There is no way to know how many orders are represented at a specific market depth level. Are you possibly referring to some gauge of where your order is in the queue? If yes, the answer is no. However, NT8 SuperDOM columns will be treated as custom columns allowing developers to code any type of column they wish which could include a order queue indication.
We are always looking to enter into new relationships that make sense for us, our customers and our existing partners. While I expect to announce new relationships in the mid-term, there is nothing I can confirm as of this date.
Just want to make sure that I totally understand this. NinjaTrader will monitor your trades even when you are offline? IE you loose your internet connection? Does this work with all brokers they support? Does it include strategies? I was not aware of this functionality. I'm currently a Multicharts user. I've had issues in the past with Ninja crashing but it's been a few years since then. There is some cool functionality in Ninja that Multicharts doesn't have. I've considered switching but the biggest issue has been not being able to have tabs so I can switch workspaces quickly. It sounds like Ninja 8 might have this though.
I remember hearing that Ninja Trader 8 (I believe this was supposed to be featured in NT7) is going to support and equally important SHOW 10 levels of depth (Like the "JigSaw" tool set) - but I ONLY see FIVE (5) levels of depth in this video.
Its a Shame that Ninja is focusing on COSMETICS again instead of whats really important = STABILITY.
Simple things that platforms like Tradestation possesses for YEARS now - should have been built in Ninja such as :
1. The ability to ENABLE/DISABLE an indicator without having to completely REMOVE it and lose its settings
2. The ability to MOVE the chart (not stretch) on the Y AXIS - without the need to PRESS CTRL key
3. THe issues of adding indicators without the whole ridiculousness of conflicts with the damn scripts which cause then system to load so slowly when such conflicts are present.
I believe I heard the CEO of Ninja actually say in the presentation that 10 levels of depth will be incorporated in v.8 - but I DO NOT see it in the video - AM I missing something?
