Unfortunately, the developers are MIA. The SEO product is a bit old, and they've laid off a lot of staff due to budget problems it seems, and one of the main devs was injured in a car accident two weeks ago so support has kind of grinded to a halt with them.
I've tried to fix the problem for myself but I am at a loss as to what is happening.
So long as you don't use the sorting or filter options, everything should be working fine. If it were more severe than that, I would look at reverting back to the old version, but to the best of my knowledge that is not the case.
Not sure if this is related to the existing bug you mentioned. If I click on the Replies link on the top of any thread which pops up a list of all users who posted to the thread, then click on an item, I get an error saying that the forum requires 5 seconds between searches.
I have tried waiting over 5 seconds between popping up the window, and clicking one of the entries. (just in case). And i've tried it on several threads.
I tried it with my test account and my main account and could not duplicate the issue. It is true there is a 5-second wait requirement, and I got the message if trying multiple searches within 5 seconds. But after waiting it worked fine.
This is sort of an odd question, but did you change the format in the thread notification emails?
Over the last few days, I have been accidentally unsubscribing from threads because I just instinctively click the first link in the email, has the unsubscribe link always been there?
Yes, I put the unsubscribe link on top because it seems that (unfortunately) the majority of people are unwilling to read, and instead just mark us as spam. Marking us spam hurts us. So, I duplicated the unsubscribe link to the top.
I am confident with time you will learn to not click the first link
I will modify it again slightly, to move the link to the _very_ top.
Regarding the broken Download links for sorting, it should now be resolved. Everyone, please confirm and report any problem if not.
The problem seems to have been that our Wiki software is conflicting with the new version of vbseo. So, I have now disabled the wiki entirely, while I open a ticket with the wiki developer for a resolution.
This means that some of our inline acronym expansion/links to associated wiki articles will be broken, and I am also seeing a bunch of broken icons in the Editor toolbar while writing this reply. This is due to the wiki being disabled.
Ugh, well, only some links are fixed it seems. I dunno. For now, I have disabled the wiki, as at least some of the sorting options have been restored in Download section, which people use more than the wiki.
