Brand new guy here, glad I stumbled across this forum, just a couple of minutes in it looks like a great place to learn from some pros and feed off of the information here. In time, i'm hoping to contribute a little something as well!

My name is Austin, i'm just beginning trading with futures, currently soaking in all of the information I can find and demoing through ninjatrader with a rather large success rate for a newbie i'd have to say, probably luck right? ha. Anyways, look forward to enjoying the forum with everyone.

Hi,

Name is Kiat and I stumbled upon this forum looking for NT examples. Have been dabbling mostly in the Forex market with little success. Have a long way to go on the path of trading.

I hope to learn here and hopefully contribute back one day.

Cheers!

Hi ... came across the forum because someone referenced my backtesting platform and came over to comment.

Even having done a platform ... my trading is 100% jugdemental ... but I try to get some help from the so called "indicators" hoping to have an "indication" of something. A paradox in itself, given they are delayed transformations of the pure data, but who knows ... the truth is out there ...

Hi all,

I just wanted to introduce myself, I have been a member here for a month and have not done so, so I felt it was high time I changed that... oh and of course Mike's weekly guilty mails also helped nudge me in the right direction. No complaints, exactly what I needed.

For a living, I am in retail, well I work in IT (Front End Developer) for a large retail chain in the South, US.

I had a brief spell of paper trading back in the late 90's using real paper charts and newspapers, but lacked the time to do it. I always planned to come back to it one day and one day arrived a couple of months ago. I have just started paper trading again with Futures and Forex (computerized now!). I am still in learning mode but I am really interested in the programing side of it, I have been learning MQL4 and am going to get started on Ninja script C# I find that learning to write indicators, EA's and scripts is helping me to understand the trading process a little more deeply.

I have watched and read a lot on your forum Mike, and appreciate what you have done and all who are involved, it is very helpful.

I am really interested in the Psychology of trading and Money management, and feel this is one of the keys to becoming a successful trader.

I am planning to get 3-6 months under my belt paper trading, before jumping in with real money.

Anyway, glad to be here and will do my best at contributing to this wonderful place.

Guy

I've been trading for about 8 months. It took me at least 200 hours to "learn" and get started. I trade options. Mostly defined risk credit spreads with APPL, SPY, IWM, and DIA. I use TOS as a platform. I've been following TastyTrade pretty much on a daily basis. Hardest thing for me is the trading "language" and not having anyone to chat with regarding trading.
