Hello mike and everybody.
My name is Andrea.
I am 36 .
Have traded stocks on european markets for few years .
Since one year I started trading etfs, mainly SPY due to my..........cash limitations.
Using Karen's strategy I have been doing decently well with the SPY but I tried to apply same rules to crude and it simply didn't work.
Then, looking for answers, I came to this site.
My first understanding was that Ron's strategy was an evolution of Karen's : that was what I was looking for!!.
Keeping the basics and doing a step further.
At present I continue my readings and in parallel I simulate with the Dudetooth excel spreadsheet. A tool simply great!!!
I am glad to be here with so many experienced traders that are willing to share their experience even with guys like myself that have much more to pick than to give.
Thanks to everybody and ....let's have some time together. And possibly some fun.
A nice week end to all of you.
Andrea
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
There are hundreds and thousands of jobs out there in the world but I don't see any of them having a community like the ones that is there for trading.
Traders as a whole are extremely generous because they don't share money. They share knowledge and this is eternal. This reminds me of a quote.
'Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for lifetime'. I am sure most of us come to Big Mike to learn how to fish from the markets.
Anyway, I am Pavan Kulkarni, basically an Actor but turned to trading because I needed money to fund my Acting School. A huge detour from my goal but I love this route and I am still learning to be profitable and trying to grasp everything that falls in line with my perspective about markets and I am happy to be here and learn and earn and probably share my insights and experiences.
hi everyone, Im David im from the UK, I have decent experience as an investor picking decent stocks on their fundamental value and holding long term to make a slow but steady profit, ive had a few attempts at shorter term trades and using charting methods with mixed success. I am here to learn as much as I can about short term trading and charting methods and hopefully contribute to the board myself so you guys can learn a few things from me. Cheers, David
Just some college student from Ca scouring through the saturated trading institutions, desiring to become a "professional trader" working for a prop firm or hedge fund. I understand that 95% of traders fail, while the 5% succeed. Much like in real estate. Willing to put in the 10,000 hours to become an expert. Just wanted some insight in to where I can possibly get some credible education as well as mentoring, in order to beat out other students that have the "typical" resume, which is great grades, recruiting school. Ive come to realize that in the real world, it is helpful but not guaranteed. They want experience. Would really help me substantially if i can obtain information on firms, reliable individuals or institutions to which i can learn from. Thanks a lot, back to the grind.
Hi all, has any one ever heard of Anton Kreil and Redbridgecapital. If so what was the experience like.
In short, did it offer real value to you or not? Let me know, thanks guys.
I'm a novice trader trying to learn and establish few trading systems of my own. Been a prolific user of Amibroker platofrm for chart analysis & trading strategy development but due to lot of drawbacks looking for new platforms and in the process came across NinjaTrader through which came across futures.io (formerly BMT) where lot of analysis & work being done on NT platform. So signed up immediately to explore more on futures.io (formerly BMT) about NT strategies.
Glad to be here.My name is Robert .I'm a EA programmer backtesting right now a very complex scalping renko platform ,a robot that controls 16 robots (almost 5000 code lines), i was lucky to find this forum ,hope to help and to be helped
I am looking forward to exploring this site more and learning from it. I have been investing for only about 4 years now and have been learning from mistakes as I go along. I classify myself as just leaving beginner investor to intermediate with a long way to go to consider myself advanced. A year ago I did get involved with Investools and have nothing bad to say about it other than my year is almost up and I can't justify the expense to continue just for the trading rooms and online coaching portions that I enjoy very much. So I am on a quest to find a forum such as this with daily activity to keep in contact with like minded investors.
