Hi from Italy. Been working for so long now i've decided to get serious, trading mainly price action, wished to learn more about footprint/order volume, i think this is one of the best community around here
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I started trading whilst at University over a decade ago. Having studied Economics and Portfolio Theory I started investing to test out some of the stuff I learnt in a more practical way. Initially started with a portfolio of stocks and some uncorrelated assets. Gradually migrated to covered warrants then day trading (gambling) at margin using CFDs. This was initillay quite good - small losses and gains, net gain through the months - but then I made a large mistake.
I got a job and continued using the same intraday strategy - my strategy no longer matched my circumstances.
this resulted in a lot of stress and frustration. Subsequently I stopped trading for about 5 years. Now I'm hoping to get back in to day trading, based partly on fundamentals and, as I learn more programming, machine learning, in particular using R.
Hey everyone. I just joined after seeing a reference to this forum from Emini-Watch.com. I'm a intermediate trader who focuses on the S&P emini but follow stocks and to a lesser extent commodities. I mainly use technical analysis, market profile and the eMini-Watch Better indicators but I am also seeking to increase my knowledge of economics and fundamentals as it relates to valuations and how these factors move the markets. I'm hoping to get some good info out of this forum and to provide some knowledge as well. I use Tradestation for ES trading and strategy development and ThinkorSwim for stock and options trading, usually on a swing basis.
I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Megan, obviously. I'm a graduate of '15.
I start study commodities shortly after graduating. My mom has been interested in commodities for a long while, and it grew on me.
However, I'm currently studying and saving. I'm also wanting to start paper trading. But, I can't find a source from which to do so. I mean, I could do it manually. But, it would be much easier to find a website to do so. If you know of any, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks!
Hey gang, I'm an experienced novice jumping in the deep end and learning everything thing the hard way. Just moved over to NT from MT4 and loving my new futures account. I scalp.
Extremely impressed with this website and not least because of all the smilies:sos::sos:
To introduce myself I am R Thomas from India, i trade the Nifty Index Futures and Options. I started off with Amibroker as my charting application and have now moved to using Ninjatrader. Initially I used to be fascinated with price but now Volume interests me more, I am in the search for developing my own system of trading and have a team of programmers who are willing to share my passion for trading since the last 5 years. Hopefully BIGMIKE and his lovely team members will help me achieve my dream soon.
I consider myself a new trader after "successfully" blowing up my account everytime. As such, I landed on this forum today and manage to found out alot of usefull stuff for my "Newbie" journey.
I have been to too many sites to get on trades which I have no idea about the entry/exit and hence ended with multiple loss. Hopefully I can gain something new from this forum and able to contribute more in the future.
Hello,
My name is Francisco, 38 years old
I live in São Paulo, Brazil, and I work in a local hedge fund called Absolute
I have been working in the financial markets for 18 years and I trade basically all markets
I am very happy to be part of this forum and I look forward to sharing ideas and learning a lot from you all
Right now I trade mostly discretionary, but I have models that I use as filters for my trades
I am in the process of improving my testing abilities and my plan is to develop many systems across different markets and time frames to trade mechanically
The platform I use to trade abroad is Tradestation and right now I can only write basic/intermediate codes in EasyLanguage
Best regards,
Francisco
