Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
i started out on thinkorswim, spent a couple of years there and outgrew the platform/decided i wanted to get serious from the dev perspective. i have experience across the futures complex; most of my focus has been in US bonds (mid/long duration), energies, and grains. i started doing progressively more development and have decided to tackle automation and proper dev work. currently i am developing in TT as i build out my C# skills. i plan to maintain portability as i move along. i look forward to interacting with the countless bright folks here; already i've seen lots of great stuff.
my history seems to be about the same as many on here. I blew up one account before I took any classes or learned anything, expensive mistake that I am determined not to allow to happen again. I have less than a years worth of experience in trading. I trade only futures (due to 24 hour availability), not sure this is the best area to be trading. my ultimate goal is to be able to quit from my 9-5 day job, but getting to that is proving to be somewhat of a challenge. i am looking forward to getting familiar with this site and soaking up as much information as I can. as of now, i am trying to get a good swing trading strategy established, due to work. i am beginning to wonder if this choppy and wild market is not to conducive to a swing style. any pointers and help will be gladly accepted. i started by subscribing to numerous people and come to find that not a lot of people know what the hell they are talking about. needless to say, those subscriptions have been cancelled. also fell for the "newest and next best indicator" peddled by a lot of gurus. now, i have only a momentum indicator and view candlesticks. now, after reloading another account, i seem to be gun shy. hopefully this passes and I really think i can do this and want the flexibility that trading will allow. anyway, once again i look forward to interacting with all of you.
I am very new to trading. I started trading stocks with a local stock trading app in Sep 15 and I have been absorbing as much information as I can. My path has led me to day trading and E-mini futures and so here I am.
