Hi all........ just got the link activation email today, been trading off and on for about 15 years predominantly in equities. I am interested in exploring futures trading and found this site while researching online....
I use the TOS platform exclusively...don't know if it's good or bad thing but it has served me well..
Looking forward to reading learning and hopefully someday having enough knowledge in this area of trading to be able to share, for right now though please accept any "newbie" questions I might have with regards to trading futures.....
Recently, I was interested in some expensive automated trading systems and when I used a search engine to look for for reviews, it came up with threads on this forum, which convinced me not to buy any of them, so thank you for that!
The trading journey started for me several years ago. I've read many books and a lot on the internet, including paying for some education in the beginning. I've experimented on a demo account with many different systems and methodologies but have been trading Forex live on MT4 for about a year, using simple, mechanical systems that I developed myself. At the end of that year I was at about breakeven.
I'm not sure where to go from this point. I had been hoping to learn something about algorithmic trading so that I could automate and backtest trading strategies. I think I feel more comfortable with a more mechanical rather than a discretionary approach. I'm on NinjaTrader now, which I love and am slowly getting to grips with the technology.
Hi All
First time user.
This forum is an incredible example of collaborative energy with the main goal of helping each other.
I have always lived with the principle-for you to have 1 doesnt mean I have to lose 1-its not 1-1=0 but 1+1=11(and I have been incredibly successful) TG
THANK YOU TO ALL for a unique experience of observing a great example of a better world( especially to Big Mike).
I hope I one day can add to this forum in a meaningful way.
Hi everybody, I'am using this website since about 3 years and it helped me a lot. I use Ninjatrader as platform and sometimes it's hard to find indicators because the majority is made for MT4. When I started FX trading I blew up my account a few times. I found out that trading short timeframes is not for me and after using H2, H4 and daily time frames I made finally some progress. Still I'am learning and this forum helps me a lot.
Regards, Anett
