@rufinatti Thank you for the warm welcome. The sounds being a full time trader is really tempting. But in my case, learning and doing it part time is the only way to go for now. The industry definetely been hard for the last 4 years, and had to transitioned from a precious metals industry into more mineral based rock. Again, thank you.
I am 52 and semi-retired. I gave up the rat race over a year ago. I decided I wanted a better quality of life
and that I wanted to follow my dreams before I got too old.
I manage a small local newspaper in South Africa with my partner on the edge of our largest game reserve, “The Kruger National Park”. I live about 200 meters from the KNP fence and see wildlife almost on a daily basis. What a privilege!
I want to supplement my very meagre income and follow my dreams with the job of trading.
I am a novice trader with about 14 months of experience.
Like most new traders I have not had much success but I am determined to change that.
I believe it’s a very difficult and unique skill that can be learned. I want to learn that skill.
This forum is the right type of place to learn about, develop and hone that skill.
In the couple of times I have visited this forum I have learned things.
Thanks to everyone for their input and sharing.
Thanks Big Mike!

i have registered here a month ago.
i have been trading for the last 5 years now,and had my last stint at October 2015 to January 2016 where i broke even as a full time trader, but the bills got the better of me and i had to return to work.it has been a long journey but now i am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and i am looking forward to to my next stint in trading full time around October of this year.
my knowledge is price action trading and the area that needs work is money management, discipline and sticking to my plan.
currently i am still recovering from my last stint,i have shaked away my trading hangover and once the euro football is finished i will start to eat, sleep and shit trading and prepare to succeed in trading.
my area of expertise is the Australian 200 index, but also i want to understand the character of the ftse 100 as it starts at 5m sydney time which is when i should be home from work.i hope to be successful trader in the aus200 and ftse100.
thanks

I use a MovAvg Cross LE & SE no LX/EX Strategy Automated with % Trailing true 50/10 and get GREAT back-testing results, +80% Profitable & Profit Factor +2.5, but run on the simulator the results are not good??? I believe it is in the % Trailing settings? Any suggestions
