Have been trading equity and index options for a bit. Got curious about futures and came across this forum while searching for material on the subject. Great to be part of this community, and look forward to learning/sharing as I embark on this leg of the journey ...
Cheers.

Hey All! I've been through all my finance studies and worked the industry for a number of years, but just now am setting out on my own to (Hopefully) make some money.
All assets interest me, and right now I've turned my attention to the futures markets.
Hello Everyone,
at one stage I too blew up my account. But lately I have started trading with JM Financial and they have a policy of 50% equity stop out. So, even if my positions are liquidated, from my remaining balance in the account I can make out for the living. Not like those who liquidate your positions at 10% or 0% equity where there is no chance of recovery.
I loved this company and their customer service.
I joined the futures.io community several months back, after having been an avid anonymous reader for several years. I hope I can contribute something useful at some point.
My name is David, I started trading in 2011. I blew up a couple accounts and decided to take a slower, progressive and methodical approach to trading. I just would like to thank everyone for sharing info and experience on the markets, my focus is on trading e-mini futures I use CQG Trader as my platform and chart with thinkorswim. I wish the best to all of you!
Hello everyone,
I've been practicing day trading off and on for quite a while, Futures for the past 14 months. I am joining the community to lean from those who care to share their successful concepts and tactics . I additionally would like to post my work in the form of screen captures and journaling my daily actionable events through each trading day.
My goal in this MY trading businesses is to daily consistently earn a "little bit" and grow my account into A LOT.
I have identified my greatest weakness in my trading activities and am very, very focused on exercising that demon.
Accountability via this community, I feel will help me tremendously.
after having been a contrarian investor for years, I have recently started active trading. I love commodities, especially Crude, Gold and industrial metals. Trading is my passion and it is in my blood (my grandad was also commodities trader). So, I decided to use my meager heritage to fund a trading account and switch careers (I'm a Software Engineer by trade) in order to become an independent commodities trader. After all, my buy and hold strategies based on value should work there as well ... no wait
Yap, as you can imagine, an initial and very refreshing drawdown of 20% has prompted me to learn more about proper risk management, money management and trade (as opposed to "investment") strategies. The wealth of information and misinformation out there is stunning, intimidating and confusing. To find real gems in all the rubble is a daunting task. That is what brought me here. From what I have seen so far, this forum looks very promising.
Currently, I'm in stage 2 of trader development: I know that I don't know much. I'm still struggling to develop a proper trade plan, especially to decide on a concrete strategy to commit to, test it and learn to execute it. Auction market theory and behavioral finance resonates with me and allows my analytical mindset to approach the markets and make some sense of what is happening there ... at least better than, let's say, moon phases (no offense to those who like to use them).
That's it about me. I'm looking forward to interacting with all you different traders out there, learn from you guys and contribute what my humble knowledge permits.
Greetings I'd like to introduce myself here as an up-and-coming futures trader. I come from a different industry but have got my feet wet in the past with stocks - this appears to be a different animal in and of itself and I like it! My mindset has me looking for consistent, small gains to augment my income from my "desk job," slowly building my account. I'll be utilizing MD Cloud or possibly TT, as I am looking strictly for a web-based solution ATM to fit into my lifestyle.
As one who loves and appreciates forums, I'm glad to be here - been lurking for a while now and hope to add my useful info in due time!

My name is Thilo, I live near Hannover in Germany, and used to work as an anaesthetist/anaesthesiologist, now I started a new career as a general practitioner.
I started trading about 10 years ago, first with funds, stocks, knock-outs and other certificates. First I went down to lower timeframes, started trading CFDs, lost some money, now I went back to higher timeframes and added commodities.
The main part of my money is in a boring dividend and value investing depot, sometimes I add some shorter term stock trades, Dogs of Dow and similar.
Since 6 months I am trying commodities and future-CFDs, I usually try identifiy a seasonal possibility for a trade, I check the COT-report, market sentiment and chart analytics, and enter the trade.
I got some nice trades and a few looser in these months, I am profitable with this, but I do not feel sure of what I am doing, for example even choosing the distance to SL is so different to trading stocks in the ultrashort or the long turn when trading futures on a some week till month timeframe in between.
I hope to find here some experienced traders and some good advice for my journey to commodities!
