Been trading about 7 years. Initially Forex, with boatloads of indicators & losses.
Now I use Wyckoff for swing trades and price action for intraday trading.
Thank you very much! I really liked your forum its honest & helpful to every level of trader. I hope you keep on doing the good work. Great Job! Well Done. All my good wishes are with you.
Hi all 2 years trading part time while holding down "Normal" job. 100% return on account first year 50% draw down on account second year, so back to square one. Second year has now taught me that gut feel and price action alone will just not cut it, so am embarking on the quest to nail down what my trading style actually is. Cheers pier1.
Who hasn't blown out their account at one time or another. I'm no exception. I have traded stock, options and dabbled in futures. I have finally decided to devote my full attention to FX. I currently have an account with thinkorswim. I have developed what I think is a viable ATS. Sad but true, thinkorswim does not support such a system. So, I will try to learn the Ninja Trader way.
Hello everyone! I've been trading for about 6 years now and have been moderately successful, but like many here, have also blown out my account during the "education" phase. I chalk it up to paying for my education like you would at any college in America. Until recently, I only traded stocks and EFT's, but I have since migrated to futures (gold, crude, indexes) and will likely be phasing out the stocks portion of my portfolio, at least on a day trading basis. I am also looking into trading forex sometime in the not too distant future.
Like any good trader, I am always open and looking for new idea's that can improve my performance, and at first glance, this looks like a GREAT resource. I stumbled upon this forum through one of the threads in the NinjaTrader support forum, which I am in the process of learning and migrating to. My ultimate goal is to automate my strategy and take most of the emotion out of my trading, (which I believe to be the biggest obstacle to success in this profession) and let the computer do most of the work for me. Whether or not that is possible, that is my ultimate goal.
Thank you "Big Mike" for what looks like a great forum and resource for idea's, and I look forward to learning and sharing idea's with you all.
Hi Traders,
I've been in and out of the markets for 35 years plus. I just keep coming back and trying again. Hopefully this time I'll get it right! Thanks in advance for all of the future help!
I want to learn how to trade the emini S&P. I have searched the internet for the past two months for genuine information. Well guess what information overload! Sadly it would appear that the flim flammers are in abundance when it comes to information.
I found your Big Mike's Day Trading Forum and I think the contributors are genuine and corteous and informative. I found many other blogs of no substance. I hope to be in a position to contribute to the blog in time, but for now I need to gather more information.
The best of luck with the forum.
I can only wish everyone , health, wealth and good friends.
HI Mike, I stumbled upon your website when I was looking for reviews on the paintbar factory. Your intro sounded genuine so thought I would register. I have been trading unsuccessfully for 3.5 years and need to make some progress soon for my sanity. Not sure I am in a space to help others yet, but that may come one day with perserverance. Thanks for starting the site and helping others.

Just stumbled on this website and it looks like it is right up my alley. I've been trading for a number of years. Not much of a day trader but more of a swing trader. Not sure that I could live on my winning but I think more my goal is to build a nice retirement. I am a die hard technical trader but I will listen to the fundamentals if someone wants to provide them. Thanks for such a cool website.
Been trading for a bank for past 4 years but really new to daytrading. Converted to daytrading after blowing up my account position trading in '08. Think this is a really cool website, hope to learn something as well as contribute to the community. Cheers!
